I just finished listening to the whole thing. I am impressed by the quality of this work. All the voices work great. ConVito makes a frightingly convincing Reeve. If Jamieson Price could not return as Reeve’s English voice, ConVito would be a good replacement.

I might be wrong, but is Case of Barret shared with Cid? I remember hearing the voice for Cid in the trailer a little while back and it was fantastic! 😀

I absolutely cannot wait! Haha. I must admit, these audiobooks are so great that it’ll be a tad disappointing when the final On the Way to a Smile is released.

    It’s absolutely amazing and unique.
P.S: I’ve read ‘On the Way to a Smile’ a few times but I don’t remember some of the parts narrated here. Is it edited? Or was this chapter altered by author like Tifa’s?

You may have read a fan translation… I stuck pretty close to the official english translation, but i did make little changes here and there just to make things sound nicer

Not big changes. Just like using a different word or a different translation of a sentence. Still has exactly the same meaning

I didn’t know that existed until recently. The audio and voice acting is good quality like a professional audio book. The part at the end was a good twist too.

Where exactly do you go to get Japanese books translated?

I just happened upon this site recently, looks like 3 years late lol. I’ve heard a few audiobooks before, most of which are monotone and robotic. Not here. I must admit, my scepticism died within the first 5 minutes. Masterful storytelling, i really enjoyed this audiobook. Since i’m obviously late to the party, can anyone please tell me the proper to listen to these in? Looking forward to a reply, as well as the next Case. Thank you for your time and effort .
