Advent Children Complete US debut trailer

Take a look at the first North American trailer for Advent Children Complete (and this time a legit one, without a crappy song and narrator).

    Voice acting still sucks.

    • Dark_Fang says:

And the Japanese voices don’t suck?

      • Kaito says:

That american voice over is extremely terrible.

      • Cthulhu says:

Perhaps, but it’s a different language, so you assume that’s how people are supposed to talk, =D. In English, when you have a point of reference and can understand what they’re saying (and understand the used intonation, emotions in voice, etcetera), it’s a lot worse ’cause you understand it all.

And the Japanese version fits it a lot more, imho.

Agreed, but I must admit there are a few scenes that I do like, but Reno’s part during the road chase scene totally sucks.

EDIT: On another, off topic note, has anyone see the new postcards and are they any different than the ones from before?

  2. Quexinos says:

I love how they used Yazoo’s Japanese laugh XD
That’s gotta be an insult to Yazoo’s VA.

    • Dark_Fang says:

ALL of the vocal sound effects are from the Japanese version. In the long run, keeping those sounds in a trailer for the US version is pretty minor.

  3. ForceStealer says:

Wow, we never even got an english (voiced) trailer for the original Advent Children.

  4. Tennyo says:

This may be the legit one now but it still sucks in comparison with all the Japanese ones. Japanese trailers are always fifty times more epic, it seems. :/

  5. Crystal says:

The english dub is fine, better than many eng dub for some anime series. I actually don’t really like the Japanese voice over for FF VII, maybe it because I’ve gotten used to hearing the english dub. *shrug* I can’t understand Japanese and I hate having to read subtitles, so I’d like to just have it in english.
