I just finished the game a few days ago (Christmas Eve actually) and I still think about it from time to time. (I'm OK now, though ;) ) But boy, yeah, that was hard to watch without tears. Most...memorable...FFVII Compilation...moment...ever. I got so angry when the rookie infantryman just went up to Zack and shot bullets in him for the heck of it. I saw it in the original FFVII, but seeing this in CC I'm like silently, Damnit, what're you doing, he's had enough! Zack was probably Cloud's best and only buddy there. They were buddies, man! Buddies! During the rain and Zack’s death, and “Why,” and into the end credits, my tears could not stop flowing. That makes it far more important than Aerith's death, poignant as that was. I'm sure if the only thing that happened was Zack dieing and there wasn't such a sense of change on Cloud's end it would be no different than Aerith, but it is.
