Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Announced

Shocked no one has made a thread for this yet. Or maybe they have and I just missed it

Several Kingdom Hearts games are getting the HD treatment for a 2013 release in Japan.

The good news: Kingdom Hearts is coming to the PS3. The bad news: it's not the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts III. Instead, three games in the oft-spun-off franchise will be bundled in a high-definition PS3 release, appropriately called Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix. The titles getting the remake treatment this time are Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts - Re: Chain of Memories, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.

From what I've read on other sites there'll be scenes added in from the other two handheld games, I don't think it's gameplay. I could be wrong though.

...that's cool and all but I hope there's also be an HD version of KH2 down the road.

Because Days instead of 2...is more than odd.

Maybe a 2.5 collection with 2, BBS and Re:Coded and/or 3D?

Other sites seem to say that Days is not actually playable, only the cutscenes are watchable. lol

Also, keep in mind FF X HD was announced a year ago and there are still no more news about it. We probably shouldn't expect this to come out anytime soon either.

My 2 year old nephew found my KH2 copy the other day, he brought it to me because he recognized Mickey on the cover. I told him "this is a video game called Kingdom Hearts and when you're my age the third part will come out."

OT: This is cool though I don't give a shit about CoM and 358/2 Days. I hope they released KH2 HD soon.

I may of course be wrong, but I think it's just hi-res textures. And of course a higher resolution in general.

EDIT: And after having googled away, I feel the need to express just how fucking weird it is that they've announced this and given it a trailer, and still not even so much as commented on X HD. What the actual fuck. Seriously, this is one backwards company.

When the 3rd KH does come out, I hope it gets a new theme. The orchestrated simple and clean is starting to get tired. It was phenomenal during the 3DS trailer though.

Although it was appropriate here. I'm sure they'll remember Passions during the KH2/BBS/3DS package. The series needs its next theme is all I'm saying.

We did get a release window for FFX HD, didn't we? Only they later said "lololol we delayed it" (DELAY! Magic word. It should've been mayor's password in FFVII already).

So maybe they'll do the same with this. You never know.

Apparently, some gameplay elements receive an overhaul too (notice a green triangle command thing popping up at one place in the trailer).
