The Most Memorable Moments of the Compilation of FFVII – Part 2

by December 16, 2009 0 comments

So the final vote for the most memorable moment of the Compilation of FFVII begins now. Which moment has had the most impact amongst the fans of the Compilation? Well…it’s now a final match between these four events. Below you’ll find the ranking results of the previous vote. Now we’ll see which moment is most memorable of all.

Zack’s Death and Cloud taking the Buster Sword was number 1 again.

Aerith’s death in the Forgotten Capital was number 2 once more.

Zack’s DMW destruction during the final battle against the MPs in Crisis Core made it to 3rd.

Cloud throwing Sephiroth into the Mako pit in Nibelheim was 4th place.

All these moments are truly memorable..but it looks like this is shaping up to be a match up of death between Zack and Aerith. It’s almost something like…a lovers’ quarrel here!

But with the vote only being between 4 moments, it really can’t be decided so easily, can it? Any moment could steal it at this point.

    Why keep adding parts?
Zack’s Death and Cloud taking the Buster Sword will always be number 1.

“Zack’s DMW destruction” was still great. I think I was moved. This “system” that we’ve been dealing with the whole game, and suddenly it goes out of whack. The game starts breaking down with it, and you realize that this is Zack dying. There’s nothing you can do but keep attacking, your button mashing slowing as Zack weakens.

Using the gameplay to make a point, in an RPG no less, is a very impactful experience. Sure, the other moments are hard-hitting, but you’re an observer to the events. In this case, you’re sort of in his mind, witnessing the breakdown not just firsthand, but being an active part of it. That, and that excellent music with it.

Damn, I need to get my friend to play CC.

OMG yes, you are so absolutely right! I just finished playing Crisis Core a few days ago, and when I came to that DMW destruction part, I understood that battle wasn’t like any other in the game. I knew what was gonna happen, but I had Zack keep fighting because I wanted to keep fighting, knowing soon it was going to end. Everything you said there about those moments helped me have an even better understanding about the connection between Zack and his DMW. Thank you 🙂

i think number 1 should be aeris’ death because i didnt know that was gonna happen when i saw it. everybody thinks because she got in between the one-side love situation it was fair. i understand that cloud got into soldier to impress tifa and everybody else. i understand that cloud 4got that he had a crush on her due to the mako. i also realize that even though i prefer him with aeris, the heart wants what the heart wants. so no more debating. i know that cloud is one of those types that hides his feelings and hes really sensetive and that he really cared about aeris like a friend. and if any one of his freiends died like that he would be hurt. it just makes him like a human. so im really thankful to tetsuya and the rest of the ffvii (final fantasy 7) staff for making my favorite game ever. plus now that i know the truth im kind of over it now. all i have to do now is worry about buying the completion. lol

i never realized how crazy people got over the whole cloti and cleris stuff. i just basiclly kept it to myself how i felt. i never argued about. i mean its just a game. we all have lives to get back to. but it was really funny how people were so serious about it. 🙂
