The books have largely been translated, but now, with this project underway and currently being edited, they have also been spoken out loud.
Of course, we’ll keep you updated on the progress of this project. You can also follow it yourself by keeping up with the project on the forums.

  3. Saerrix says:

    Wow, this is sad.

    • Blazing782 says:

LMAO, I was thinking the same thing, but the voice acting isnt TOO bad, other than Tifa. I mean why would she voice act like that after everyone made such a big deal about Aerith sounding all airheaded and stupid in AC

      • Saerrix says:

I just thought it was sad that they felt the need to do this. It’s like FFVII for the mentally retarded. People should just read it. Reading is good for you.

        • RPVids says:

lol it’s just a fanmade project. It’s all for fun! If people don’t want to listen to it, they don’t have to.
But yes, reading is good for you! :D

  4. xtasy says:

So good! Great work – I can’t wait to hear the book.

  5. Zephyr says:

wow, great voice acting (if only AC/ACC got this kind of quality). though tifa’s voice sounds more “aerithy” to me. I can’t really differentiate the two on the video by ear as they sound similar. I only know who is aerith/tifa becasue I know the lines from the story. :P

  6. ChocoboChick86 says:

Quite the endeavor, and certainly one I’ll want to listen to when completed. The opening with Cloud and Tifa made me melt inside, as that conversation is one of my favorites of all the shorts. It’s interesting to hear others’ interpretation aloud. Kudos to all involved. Cloud’s voicer could pull off Squall, too, I think.
Looking forward to finished product! : )

  7. sloppygegger says:

its a good idea but tifa sounds more like aerith, cant wait for the full :D

  8. cReo says:

hey… awesome work.. thanks for this…

thou i agree that tifa’s voice is more like “aerith’s”…

    THANKS… SALAMAT..

  9. anna says:

    ooh~ i like cloud’s acting

  10. aeL says:

wow… just wow.. the voice acting was great!!!
cant wait to hear the full.. X3
oh.. and BTW, tifa’s voice sounds a lot like aeris… cloud’s acting is very convincing..

  11. Pixel says:

I think when you listen to the full audiobooks, you’ll hear that Christina sounds EXACTLY like Tifa, and is a better voice actress than the original VA.

    • RPVids says:

Yeah, she recently played Tifa for one of my fan projects and she is really amazing! She focuses more on being in character rather than just impersonating, and I agree that she’s better than the ‘official’ VA too! In fact..I think the original VA’s voice is even higher/softer.
And the rest of the cast is fantastic as well! I can’t wait to hear the full books! Do you think you’ll be doing any more fanprojects?

      • Pixel says:

Im not sure. Only if its something unique and interesting. There are some FFXIII prequel novellas… but i havent played it yet. Maybe in a few months. This project will take a while to complete

  12. [...] the 264 pages of text, maybe you’ll want to check out TheLifestream.net’s fan based audiobook project that’s [...]

  13. Lynn Strife says:

Ooh, great voice acting =) I love it! ^_^

  14. Catis Huh says:

That is amazing! Good luck to you, you are doing great job!

  15. Sharpie says:

Barret’s voice is my favorite, followed by Cloud

  16. Strifegirl says:

    This is awesome!! x3

  17. BreezyST says:

The first seconds were quite enough to revive a good set of feelings.
    Interesting project.

  18. Richard says:

You guys are much better VA then the VA’s in Advent Children. Good Job.
