In this article, we’ll look at and analyze the changes and additions to the film, paying specific attention to the new and altered scenes. Advent Children Complete surfaces on torrent sites

Advent Children Complete US boxart

For the last few days since the release of Advent Children Complete, random tidbits of information, scene changes and images have appeared in the ACC spoiler section of our forums. Since today, the movie has also appeared on various torrent sites, such as Tokyo Tokoshan. It’ll only be a matter of time before the movie will appear on other torrent sites and piracy channels.

The Pirate Bay logo

UPDATE: The movie (as well as On the Way to a Smile: Episode Denzel) has also appeared on the popular torrentsite The Pirate Bay, whose owners were sentenced to a one-year prison sentence and 30 million krones (about 2.7 million euro) fine just yesterday. From the descriptions of the two, both seem to be Japanese language only without subs, but I can’t be sure about that with the ACC torrent.

A lot of people have already been able to watch the movie through importing the Blu-ray from Japan, and have shared their experiences on our forum. Coming up is a post that lists the various changes and new scenes in the movie – and there’s quite a lot of those.

The movie is still scheduled for an official release on June 2nd in the US, and June 10th in Europe. You can pre-order the US version of the movie – if you can work up the patience – in our shop.

UPDATE, April 19th: The .torrent from The Pirate Bay was removed just several hours after it was put on, for as of yet unknown reasons.

A new torrent has appeared on DaTorrents, a four-part BD rip weighing 4.8 GB which, according to the description, has the English dubs.

Rufus Shinra and the Turks Character Bios from Dengeki PS3

Posted on April 15th, 2009 at 3:16 PM by Makoeyes987

Hitoshura’s next profile translation from April’s Dengeki PS3 is for Rufus Shinra and The Turks, who play a prominent role in FFVII Advent Children Complete. With this profile, have the creator’s dropped a revealing hint regarding Rufus’s new intentions in ACC and DC? Well… we’ll leave that for you to decide.

rufus-reno-and-rude

Rufus Shinra

The son of President Shinra who created the Shinra Company in a single generation. An elitist and prideful young man, he is truly skilled and able. He is also very ambitious, and when he was younger he seemed to have done everything he could to overthrow his father, the head of the company. He also shows a ruthless side; for instance, when his father was killed by Sephiroth, he seemed not to care at all and was glad to take up the mantle of president.

In the battle for the life of the planet, while they were both pursuing Sephiroth, he stands opposed to Cloud’s team. In the end he appears to have died in an attack by the Diamond WEAPON, but it seems the luck of the devil was on his side, and he managed to make it out alive.

After the Meteor crisis, even though he is infected with Geostigma, he gathers the surviving members of the Turks and from behind the scenes works towards the revival of the world. He is honest in this motive. However, he is also not a man who would stop there. In the unseen corners of his heart, perhaps he sees a clear vision of the world restored, and under the control of the Shinra Company…

The Turks

The Shinra Company’s general affairs and investigative department, commonly known as the Turks. There are 4 primary members: Tseng, the calm and collected chief; Reno, who makes use of his speed during battle; Rude, a quiet and powerful man with his trademark sunglasses and skinhead; and Elena, the newest recruit and sole female member. Each are an expert in combat, and carried out any mission given to them without fail. In particular, Reno and Rude have often worked as a team since their early days, and together they show a brilliant display of teamwork. Previously, they had stood in the way of Cloud’s team, on the command of Rufus Shinra.

In the Meteor crisis the Shinra Company, for all intents and purposes, is destroyed, but even after that they follow Rufus. However, when investigating the Northern Cave, Elena and Tseng are taken prisoner by Kadaj’s gang. Meanwhile Reno and Rude, working together once again, fight alongside Cloud and the others. During the battle in Edge they corner Yazoo and Loz, but they leave the final battle in the hands of Cloud’s team.

Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo Advent Children Complete Profile from Dengeki PS3

Posted on April 15th, 2009 at 11:20 AM by Makoeyes987

And of course we can’t forget our fearsome threesome- Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo. Here is their short and to the point profile for FFVII Advent Children Complete from Dengeki PS3 translated by hitoshura. Sans a Compilation of FFVII check since…they only appear here. Anyways, enjoy!

remnants-of-sephiroth

3 men who suddenly appeared before Cloud and attacked him. They are the remnants of Jenova, who operate according to Sephiroth’s will which has diffused into the Lifestream. There are filled with many contradictions: purity and insanity, cunning and childishness. Perfectly aware that they are simply puppets, they close in on Cloud and his friends with an overwhelming power. In their eyes Cloud, who was once a puppet just like them but escaped Jenova’s control, is nothing more than a traitor.

Their goal is vengeance on the planet which wouldn’t accept Jenova. For this end they sought to take back their “Mother,” the head of Jenova, and bring about the Reunion. Although this plan ends in failure, Kadaj’s final Reunion awakes a legend…

Zack Fair Advent Children Complete Character Bio from Dengeki PS3

Posted on April 15th, 2009 at 11:08 AM by Makoeyes987

With FFVII Advent Children Complete less than a day from release, hitoshura has translated more of Dengeki PS3 profiles for ACC. This time, here is Zack Fair. Enjoy!

zack-fair-advent-children-complete

A SOLDIER for Shinra, and Cloud’s comrade. He was a considerate man who valued his allies, and was best friends with Cloud and Sephiroth. He participated in many missions for SOLDIER and served the company well, but during the Nibelheim incident he suffered serious injuries, and was confined in the Shinra Manor as a test subject for Hojo. He narrowly manages to escape with Cloud, but with Midgar right before him, Zack was killed. In a state of heavy mako poisoning at the time, Cloud superimposes Zack, who had died to save him, over his own personality.

Even after defeating Sephiroth and regaining his true self, images and memories of Zack turned to a sense of guilt which continued to torment Cloud. Suffering from this, images of Zack appear in his consciousness time and again. Zack will later become one of the driving forces to help Cloud move forward on his own feet.

As Cloud put an end to Sephiroth and broke that curse, Zack was there by his side, seeing him through.

ACC Japanese Site update and Famitsu PS3 article

Posted on April 14th, 2009 at 7:09 PM by Dark and Divine

The Advent Children Complete Japanese Site was updated with info about an exhibit at the Ginza Sony Building. There is an event to celebrate ACC’s release and let people experience the world and visuals. It’s open from April 10th to May 17th. You can also watch the latest trailers on a 120 inch high-vision screen with powerful (surround?) sound. There’s also an ACC art gallery until the 17th of this month.

So if you so happen to be in Ginza shopping district of Tokyo, definitely check it out!

Also, the new Famitsu PS3 features an article about Advent Children Complete.  Here are the cover for the magazine and scans of the article:

 Some highlights of the article:

AC was sorta ignored for a while after its release since they wanted to focus on other projects.

They wanted to pushh back the release until the blu-ray market grew big enough, but never expected it to be such a long project.

Nojima wanted fantasy elements for AC.

They wanted to depict the contrast between Cloud and the children, as well as Cloud’s own growth after his meeting with Denzel and the kids.

The upped the depiction of blood and Geostigma quite a bit, since they believed a more realistic depiction would give a more realistic impression of pain.

Since they had quite a bit of time left over, they arranged the songs to fit the scenes better. In AC they tried to fit the scenes with the songs, while in ACC they had the songs tailored to fit the scenes. And created the ‘ideal battle scene’.

Most of the staff didn’t want to touch anything FF7 related in the beginning, but Nomura took the lead(and made them into his slaves. And made onigiri for them in Hawaii).

5 years passed between AC and ACC. Most of the technology they’ve used is different.

They had trouble deciding how much of the new technology used in Versus 13 should be used in ACC.

They’re pretty much done with FF7, saying that it’s hard to think of any other important events that might occur in the universe. They still have ideas, but there won’t be any compilation news for a while.

Thanks to Defade for providing the information about the Famitsu article.
