The Let’s Play commentary continues.
This time Jocalyn, who last participated in Part 27, makes a comeback. Newcomer is Shademp, author of the Unused Text Series, who lends his Swedish accent for some Scandinavian hijinks. Veterans Ryushikaze and Pixel return, joined by Tennyo from Part 45 and onward.
Enjoy as we explore a Mayan pyramid, enter a sleeping forest via a village of bones, then solemnly end disc 1 with a tragic visit to a city made out of dried up coral reefs and giant sea shells.

Welcome back to the LP. Pixel’s quickly rushing to the end of the first disc, and while we’re not there yet, we’re getting close, so come join us as Pixel has a side trip over to the ethnically confused Wutai, goes on a date with a lucky lady (or possibly a massive man), grabs a final limit break, and gets ready to do some archeology.

It’s been awhile folks. Over half a year. But Pixel finally found time in his busy schedule of making our audiobooks to play a bit more Final Fantasy 7.
This time, I, Ryushikaze, am joined by forum regulars Satsu, Tifabelle, Celes, and Tennyo as we head out of Costa Del Sol and get ourselves involved in the sordid world of Bird racing, gambling, moogle breeding programs, bloodsport, chintzy unreliable fortune tellers, and worse, a man without any pants on. Yes, we’re headed to Gold Saucer.
The rest of the videos, as always, are after the break.

If the all the new info on Dissidia is making your head spin or you’re just too antsy for its release, take your mind off with another installment of Pixel’s FF7 Let’s Play!
This time, Tennyo, myself- Ryushikaze- and newcomer Jocalyn provide our voices and our thoughts, but mostly just our voices, to the escape from the ShinRa building and the Nibelheim flashback.
As always, the remaining videos are after the break.

If you’re having trouble locating that perfectly legal copy of Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals you were getting perfectly legally just to listen to the commentary I released yesterday, then you can enjoy some of our Continuing Let’s Plays of Final Fantasy 7 while you search. This time, Tennyo and I are the backseat drivers on Pixel’s playthrough.

A few weeks ago, Pixel and I started a Let’s Play of Final Fantasy VII. Last week, Forcestealer and I kept going from where Pixel and I left off, and did an additional six segments, which Pixel was kind enough to synch and upload to Youtube.
For those fans of Pixel’s severalaudiobookcontributions, he’s also added in a surprise into one of the videos. What is it? You’ll just have to watch to see it.
Now, with only slightly further ado, the Let’s Play videos themselves. Enjoy.

The new trailer can be watched on the Japanese site by clicking on the button for it in the upper left portion of the menu. It includes a lineup of all new characters announced to date as well as a fleeting glimpse of a certain summoner in a purple skirt.

For those wondering what a Let’s Play! is, it is a playthrough of a video game with commentaries attached, and they generally come in two great flavors, Pictorial and Videos. In general, they’re a lot of fun to make, and to watch.
That’s why forum Member Pixel, of the On the Way to a Smile Audio Books has decided to do one on the original FF7. For these first five installments, he’s joined by me, Ryushikaze. In subsequent installments, we hope to get additional people, including some of you fans, to join us as we go through the entire game, minus the aspect of grinding, and adding some silly and sometimes insightful commentary. We’ve recorded about 50 minutes of LP so far, and Pixel has amazingly already put it all up on Youtube, so reward his hard work and give them a listen.

Because we here at TheLifestream forums are geeks, we’ve had a thread running for a little while now on who the most powerful villains and heroes of the Final Fantasy franchise are. As well, I’ve had an interest lately in doing “top 10″ lists. See this thread for my “Top 10 Games of the Decade” list. [/shameless self-promotion]
Anyway, that being the case, it was inevitable that I decide to make an article like this for the front page. Seeing as how we’re now on the cusp of Final Fantasy XIII’s release in Japan, this seems like the right time for such a list, ere we have to include another hero and villain in our calculations.
So join me, won’t you, in celebration of the most powerful heroes and villains of the first 22 years (omg Sephiroth/Kabbalah reference!) of the Final Fantasy series.
