As mentioned in the previous news post, Aerith has also heard Cosmos’ call, it would seem. But she can only be bothered to occasionally pop in and help her friends out when absolutely necessary. Taking a page out of Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo book, Dissidia 012 will have a demo available for purchase called Dissidia Duodecim Prologus Bigus Dickus Final Fantasy for about $3. Said demo supposedly is a bit more substantial than your average demo but the only reason anyone will buy it will undoubtedly be for the code that unlocks Aerith as an assist character in the proper game.
In case you haven’t been following the discussion on our forums, I’ll cut right to the chase and present you with the good (or not so good?) stuff.
It has been confirmed: there will be a direct sequel to FFXIII, and we’re not talking the Fabula Nova Crystallis spin-offs like VersusXIII and AgitoXIII. This appears to be more in the vein of FFX-2 (but hopefully a bit lower on the Charlie’s Angels scale).

The new trailer can be watched on the Japanese site by clicking on the button for it in the upper left portion of the menu. It includes a lineup of all new characters announced to date as well as a fleeting glimpse of a certain summoner in a purple skirt.

Dissidia Duodecim, the story of the twelfth conflict between Cosmos and Chaos, and the direct prequel to the original Dissidia has been announced and its trailer’s been released.
As you can see, not only do we get spiffy new characters like Lightning and Kain, but we also get different allegiances, such as Slave Crown Terra fighting for Chaos, new moves for characters from the first game, and entirely new gameplay elements. If Dissidia delivers half the awesome things it seems to be suggesting, it’s definitely going to be just as good as the original and better.
Of course, it’s not just Kain and Lightning who’ve been added to the roster.

With the release of FFVII Advent Children Complete coming closer, SilentTweak has generously subtitled and hosted the two most recent trailers for Advent Children Complete. Below are the links to view and download them for yourself. Be aware that they are in high quality as well. A big thanks for SilentTweak for subbing and hosting these!
If you have trouble viewing the second trailer, try downloading CCCP at the following link: cccp-project.net Also – the lyrics for “Safe & Sound” are based on a best guess from what was heard in the trailer. Since no official lyrics for the song have been released yet, the authenticity of that portion of the subtitles cannot be confirmed.

A new trailer for Dissidia: Final Fantasy has been released for the English release of the game. Although English text is the only thing new in the trailer, and it ends with a release window of “Summer 2009,” it’s still a welcome site for those of us that have been waiting for the game to come to the US.
The trailer was released in conjunction with the opening of the full North American site. So far the only character profiles up are the heroes from the first three Final Fantasies, but it is a nice looking site with “What Will You Fight For?” wallpapers.

A new trailer for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete has surfaced on youtube which gives a taste of the High Definition graphics and additions to the Blu-ray release. Enjoy, and also keep in my mind the previous news post on the April Dengeki PS3 Interview with Nomura has been updated with an interview from the Dengeki PS March issue as well.
