Making it only affect the PCs means that it’s compatible with other NPC mods — you can see the train NPC Overhaul mod at work here too (the punks and the guy in the trench coat at 1:31 are from that mod).

Hope there's similar mod for the Buster Sword and Guard Staff, just to complete the look (Tifa's fists and Barret's gun are basically built into their OG models, so probably wouldn't need it for them.)
