A lifelong gamer with a BA in Human Communication, Casey L. Covel is an award-winning writer and poet with publication credits in Geeks Under Grace, Geekdom House, Area of Effect Magazine, Zelda Universe, KHInsider, Beneath the Tangles, and iCosplay Magazine. She served as a lead editor on the Mythos & Ink publication Thy Geekdom Come: 42 Fandom-Inspired Devotionals, earned multiple Editor’s Choice designations for her articles on pop culture, and won the 2013 Ewing Citation Award for poetry.

She was a founding member of pop culture-centered nonprofit Geeks Under Grace, where she served as editor-in-chief for over four years. In 2013, her love of Square Enix led her to initiate the annual PROJECT: Magic Kingdom Hearts event for Kingdom Hearts fans at Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Orlando, FL, and cofound the California branch, The Keybearer’s Alliance. As an award-winning cosplayer and daughter of a pastor, her favorite Bible verses are Ephesians 6:10-18—because she can’t help but imagine suiting up with the Buster Sword to take on daily trials with a Zack Fair smile.
