I am a writer who likes to watch, and write and like movies.
Playing games (not very often), watching movies (less and less often), watching TV shows (lots), writing (way less than I want), thinking about girls, one way or another... (way, way, way too much)

Was not a terribly good show after the first season, and downright abysmal for most of its run. Some of the worst writing and character development I've ever seen on television, I mean seriously. Come on, Sylar was way too overpowered. So was Peter! Hiro's time travel was inconsistent! And all that stuff about how Nathan was replaced by Sylar? But his personality was just a psychological construct of Sylar's because he felt guilty or something. So who did Peter say his emotional farewells to? He was talking to Sylar thinking he was his brother? So he said his emotional goodbye's to Sylar - apparently... Stupid. What was with all the stupid back and forth? "I'm a hero, no I'm a villain blah, blah, blah" And lastly, how come none of them had jobs, I mean seriously what the hell!? They had to eat right? Their superpowers didn't make them all immune to food and shelter did they? And what about regeneration? Even in X-Men, I don't see how their cells are supposed to duplicate so fast they can heal wounds but they don't need to expel any energy to do this? You'd think at the VERY least they would have to eat food!
Oh... you mean like, who are my heroes? IDK. Probably people you'd expect. Depends a lot on how you define a "hero". MLK, RFK, Lincoln. Teddy Roosevelt was always the president that interested me most. The founding fathers of America had a lot of great ideas, built on a mountain of hypocritical BS, but you know... good ideas anyway. There are probably dozens more historical figures; I've never heard about before, that deserve my respect, and a lot of modern artistic minds who might not deserve as much of it as they get. Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, Vince Gilligan and his writing staff, Michelle Maclaren (hope I spelled that right - the one who isn't a pornstar)
The Turks... but our Turks, as listed above... of the Young variety (YouTube)
I like a handful of very dead Japanese filmmakers and some very much alive Korean ones.
- Favourite Games
-
Final Fantasy VII (What are you doing here!?)
Metal Gear Solid (Every. Single. One.)
Red Dead Redemption
Grand Theft Auto (Most of the time)
Arkham Games
Bully
Mortal Kombat (Usually more "in theory" but the last was awesome!)
There's a lot of others I could name, but I don't know if their favorites of mine exactly. Same could be said of some of the list above. But I thought about it for awhile before putting them up there, so it's probably pretty accurate. I own every major Assassin's Creed game for example. But even though I almost (or used to) exclusively play games for their story content, I have never been able to follow the political workings of any AC historical setting. Not sure if my fault or the developers.... But I figured it would be disingenuous to put it up there as a result. Why am I justifying this? Why are you reading this? You're not are you? That's good, that's good... so hey how's your wife?

We will be here literally forever.
Let's just say I don't make lists very much anyway, if you didn't guess based on the nuanced thought that went into my favorite games list (much easier anyway, since I can't play as much as I want) Movies fall into three categories for me. Great, Good, and Awful. There are way more "greats" than you might think, most films are "goods", and probably fewer "awfuls" than you might imagine - because I'm not generally very picky
I lean toward realistic thriller, and action movies or grounded fantasies. Instead of films I'll list some of my favorite filmmakers.
Martin Scorsese
Quentin Tarantino
Christopher Nolan
Park Chan-Wook
Akira Kurosawa
Sergio Leone
Michael Mann
I really could probably be here all day. My list of shows is going to be massive in the first place, I actually think it would be fun to try to name all my favorites there. This is more like an exercise where I've been asked to type for an eternity. There are a lot of really excellent movies, I couldn't possibly name them all. I wouldn't pretend to try.

Very few that are still performing. I have diverse taste. Oh "that's boring" don't care. My musical identity is I like whatever the hell I like. Usually I hear the song in a film or on a TV show, which should come as a surprise to absolutely no one who has even skimmed this far...

Breaking Bad
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Are the two greatest shows ever, followed closely by Death Note.
Some other shows I dearly love (not really in any order) include (deep breath):
X-Files
Sons of Anarchy
Lost
Justified
Game of Thrones
The Americans
Fringe
Hannibal
Bates Motel
Sopranos
Boardwalk Empire
Daria
Samurai Jack
Courage the Cowardly Dog
The Flash
Arrow
Agent Carter
Orphan Black
Black Sails
The Twilight Zone
Prison Break
Dead Like Me
The Simpsons
Futurama
Sherlock (I guess, some of it is really silly to me.)
Depends how far they continue to escalate from where I left off:
The Shield
The Wire
12 Monkeys
Shows I otherwise love that made me bang my head against the wall for at least an entire season:
Dexter
The Walking Dead
24 (My political views, enough said)
Sons of Anarchy (almost every time they did a stupid montage after Season 4, but otherwise belongs to the previous list)
Arrow deserves a very minor honorable mention between these two lists for the costume and production designers being incapable of knowing what grit or "realism" are, and for casting based on looks rather than talent - which makes me feel like they got lucky with the male leads. It's still my second favorite show currently airing a season so take it easy.
Shows that I think suck the more I think about them:
Alias (I guess it's okay... It's a weird show.)
Battlestar Galactica
Heroes (although I don't have to think about it very hard...)
24 (another duplicate, because even when Jack's logic is retarded he's always right. I think he might be the physical manifestation of God in that universe.)
Bones
Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Shows that suck:
Revolution (couldn't get half-way through a season)
Heroes (needs emphasis due to the steep loss of character consistency)
Agents of Shield (It get's better was not enough for this one - Joss Whedon is not adept at casting leads. Bad acting)
The Following (Like a trainwreck)
Criminal Minds (I could burn this show for an eternity. My hatred could fuel a trip across the universe.)
Shows that are better than you might think:
Life
Elementary
Star Trek: Original Series
All in the Family
The Dead Zone
Married With Children
- Favourite Animé/Manga
-
Death Note
Avatar (it counts, if the Japanese don't make a distinction don't waste my time with semantics, bub)
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (I suppose)
Not big into anime. I'm thinking of watching Sword Art Online, and my brother is obsessing about me watching Naruto.

Nothing is really applicable, since I am typical enough not to be a massive reader.
I read the Jurassic Park (Michael Crichton - also read his book Timeline) books, they were good, and a book called World War Z by Max Brooks which is also award worthy. Other than some young adult fiction (whose quality I can't recall) I'd be lying if I named anyone else.
Holes was one of the best stories I read though.
