I never understood the whole Huge Materia thing. This was where the story became more like a fetch quest to revisit places and the story temporarily falls apart. Shinra actually seemed to have a better idea of how to defeat Meteor but for some reason the party wants to steal it all and sabotage...
It looks like it's one person who owns and runs it, they have a Twitter account for the Citadel but it rarely posts anything. Unfortunately a lot of the links are dead now, but some still work. I stumbled on some guy's FF7 manifesto written in 2001 lol.
I've had people tell me they've never played the game because they know the twist, referring to Aeris' death, but I tell them they have no idea. The real twist comes much later in the game.
How's this project going? Any progress?
I wonder if just voicing characters is enough. There's so many environmental factors on each screen that those would have to be explained too right?
That's super impressive to have discovered that on your own. It wasn't until I started watching some speedruns like 2 years ago I discovered you can run through the marsh without it catching you. It blew my mind.
FF7 Citadel was the OG site for anything FF7. I just checked and it's STILL around! And it still has nearly the same format from the late 90s!
I always wanted to chat to whoever made it and thank them, it was literally the only FF7 site that existed back when the game came out and I love that...
I really like this thread and want it to keep going, so I'll add more.
I weirdly preferred watching my brother play FF7 more than actually playing it myself he first time around. Even though I bought the game with birthday money! Part of the reason was my brother binge-played games and I knew...
Well for starters I was making a joke, hence the second part of my comment.
But, I do think you are putting artistic intention where it doesn't seem to be in this specific case. It's not a "mindset" nor a generalization I apply to "insert things here". I kinda don't appreciate changing the...
I think the theory that she's breaking the 4th wall is giving the team too much credit and overthinking it.
Occam's Razor: She's the in-universe version of a meth head.
Is it possible then that Aeris was really just a makohead and had delusions of grandeur? I mean, she was wrong after all about Holy right? The lifestream saved everyone, not her materia. She was always just talking to nobody as well. And I think the Turks were just trying to get her into rehab...
For some reason after all these years I've never thought about or known what Aeris is looking at (some electric panel?) in the intro to the game. What is it and why is she interested?
These S
These SCREAM AC.net! The Cloris "Devotion" one made me laugh out loud. There was so much bad fan art then with quotes attached to them and we all just thought it was cool. "That's awesome! How'd they make that?!"
As much as I wanna dig into my old AC stuff, I'm kinda ashamed at what...
Wow, I was pretty active on AC.net from around early 2004-2006 but shortly after AC came out I fell out of the community. I mostly loved talking about the news and speculation of AC and the original. I never went too deep into other things. Early on the most debate I remember encountering was...
