I really wanted the main character to at least be someone we knew, cole is just a straight-up oc, and plus johnny would have had more personality than this brick wall of a character whose only motivation is the only family and being the great great grandson of the scorpion.

The game does not give much information on Jenova, (which in itself should quash the entire "Jenova controlling Sephiroth theory", but some people...) yet in the video which can be accessed from Gast's old home at the Snow Village, Ifalna discusses Jenovas impact on the Cetra in brief...

Wow didn't know those lines will start a thread here. It had me curious as well when I heard Cloud saying it, but I'm not good with deep-meaning words as English is not my native language so I had it passed LOL.

I actually really like Genesis. You see where Nomura got his inspiration in 90s Visual Kei with the Gackt link. And Genesis himself contributes a lot to Sephiroth's backstory. As does Angeal (whom I hope we see again too). I like Sephy having a solid backplot (I also like the link to Vincent).

Looks great.

The part with the Wutai people being the invaders (evil party)is hard to believe what with Shinra and all, but damn, that was still a good story! I liked the use of professor Gast....
