Absolutely. It's not even close. Christian has so much more emotional range, Burton just sounds kind of bored.

Don't know, it could be just Burton being given poor directing from the voice director.

They have a different kind of role. Cody gets to show a lot more range because the character is put in a range of different situations. He has so much more time to voice different kinds of lines.

Along with the previous announcement of Sakurai getting recast in Jujutsu Kaisen, and now this Mononoke recast and delay announcement, I have to wonder if Sakurai will be recasted for Cloud too? Or is the amount of voice work that has already been done just too much? (since a video game character in a Triple AAA will have a lot more voice lines in general I believe?)

Noooo... not the Medicine Seller. Mononoke was probably my first exposure to Sakurai.

There hasn't actually been an announcement of him being recast in Jujutsu Kaisen. There's just speculation and maybe some insider information???(some random person on instagram said he will)

He did get announced then ditched in the upcoming Ayaka anime though.
