brief backstory: In an era shrouded in myth, long before humans captured memories in words, a divine being was birthed from the essence of "Mother" Eos within the expansive realm called The Starry Void—the origin of both the Gods and the fabric of the Universe. Yet, as she emerged, "Mother" Eos enclosed the goddess, named Cosmos, within a crystal shell, sealing her in a timeless sleep. This was part of a grand plan for Cosmos to one day replace Eos as the callous Queen of the Gods. However, a slight "imperfection" disrupted this scheme: unlike her celestial brothers and sisters—Titan the Archaean, Ramuh the Fulgurian, Shiva the Glacian, Ifrit the Infernian, Leviathan the Hydraean, Doomtrain the Cursed, Asura the Two-Faced, Phoenix the Reviver, Alexander the Defender, Cerberus the Guardian, and Odin the Executioner—Cosmos' soul could exist separate from her divine body. Known as Cosmos the Compassionate, she has lived many lives throughout the Final Fantasy Series whether as a daughter, sister or lover.
