A certain infamous YouTuber, whom I won’t name, can’t accept that Sakaguchi praises the FFVII Remake Trilogy, and now he is saying he wonders if Sakaguchi played these games. He is not alone some Squaresoft purists are still pretending that the remake trilogy is something like the Last of Us Part 2 that created a huge divide between fans like they weren’t divided already, but whenever you look at user scores on Steam, Playstation Store and Metacritic they are all positive, what this has led me to believe is that some people who are not happy with the final project and it is the end of the world for them can’t help but let go and are still trying to rile people against nothing. I would go as far as to say these people are worse than shippers. They have already started calling Sakaguchi a bum and a hack, stating that he sold out and is doing drugs a few months ago they were saying Sakaguchi understood FFVII and FF and he would not let anything like this happen.
Sakaguchi praised Remake and Rebirth in a recent interview and the cope from some people can’t stop.

I have been saying this for ages but some people were just so convinced he would not like these games its funny to see their reaction now.
It is so funny people try to link Sakaguchi to VII the most when he was not even there for most of the development of the game.

I mean, the Remake trilogy did create a divide in the fanbase either way. Doesn't mean you should love or hate the Remake project but it is what it is.
And yea the level of toxicity of fans is pretty bad. I just wish we could get to a point where we could have a sensible discussion about the games and share our opinions where people are allowed to disagree without it becoming a toxic flame war.

It is nowhere as it is being made out to be its just that those who are negative are just sometimes really loud about it.
