Hey friends, new joiner here.

As you'll notice from my alias, I grew up as an FF8 fan, though the Remake project has successfully converted me to FF7. Just finished Rebirth a few weeks ago, and I'm still obssessing over it.

I'm a huge fan of theory crafting and trying to make sense of what whole Re-Trilogy is about, so looking forward to catching up on some of the stuff on here.

Can you guys maybe point me towards the most popular/solid theories here? I have one of my own I'm working on, which is a bit unpopular whenever I bring it up, so I'd love to see if is thinking along the same line.

My favorite FF has always been 9 so I'm not sure where to go looking for the most popular/solid theories for 7 or 8 would be. But I think the love triangle is the most frequented FF7 thread.

I dare say the TLS Discord (link under banner at top of screen) will have folks who can answer your question, regarding popular/solid theories (but if anyone here can answer it, go right ahead). I'm more of a casual fan myself, so I don't memorise this stuff. Would be curious to hear what your theory is though.

Definitely! I'm more looking into the Remake/Rebirth theories currently, I haven't played 8 in a very long time, and I'm patiently waiting for a remake, although there are virtually 0 chances of that happening lol.

Thanks for the heads up! I think I might have to create a thread in the spoiler section, not sure if it's allowed to include spoilers in the introduction threads?
But yeah I'm still doing a bit of work on it to see if it even makes sense, it's certainly something that I haven't seen discussed a lot online, though there are a few people thinking along the same lines. I'll make sure to post it in these forums once it's polished.

Ah well our only gaming system is the switch and I don't think it's being released on that. It can't handle it or something. But it's got all the originals ported over!

@Ite Thanks for sharing! I did watch this a few weeks ago interestingly.

For me it just reinforces the fact that the FF8 story has so many layers to it, and it would really benefit from a retelling/expansion!
