From SE’s website:

Those who wish to enjoy FINAL FANTASY TACTICS as they remember it can play the classic version, which unites the graphics and gameplay of the original 1997 version with the renowned War of the Lions translation.

“I got a good feeling!”
“This is the way!”

I am getting this one, for sure. Just hook it straight to my veins, please!

WAR OF THE LIONS content will not be included in the Ivalice Chronicles.

Hell yeah get rekt Luso.

Wasn’t a fan of Temu Balthier either. Mustadio is our gunman! Why upstage him?

“Yasumi Matsuno, who wrote and directed the original game, has added new character conversations for this title. […] Some of these conversations only take place under certain very specific conditions…”

Promising!

I agree with him that these added features in Remasters of old games usually seem tacked-on just to say "look at the new thing we made!"

Limiting themselves to the story and characters that were in the original was the right choice. I'd rather have the original writer expand the characters that were there, even if, as was the case with Takashi Tokita and FF4DS, I don't end up liking the direction they go with it.
