    Hopes for the remake (story/content)

Again I think that is why FF7 is still endearing to this day, because it's very relatable to people. And I hope they don't just focus on the action, but also the characters and how the audience can bleed into them.

    Hopes for the remake (story/content)

If it was shown, I think Sephiorth was like that as well. I think he was better as coming off as mature, but to anyone who could notice he had many social, emotional, and even mental setbacks.

    That would be ingenious.

    Well, for Red's species he's a teenager.

Do you think Emperor Mateus is the Proto-Sephiroth?

I know that people think that Sephiroth and Kelfka were the first main villians who differed from the usual evil conquerors/tin tyrants we used to see in the pre-FF 6. However, on their second game we are introduced to the Emperor, who looked like Jareth from the Labyrinth, but on the other hand...

Even then a so-called 35 year old doesn't look like that.

    Hopes for the remake (story/content)

Why are they called middle age? They are only in their 30's. That's still young.

Another thing to hold against him.

Vincent Valentine - The "John Wick" of FFVII Remake?

Wow. It took that much effort to get him. Man, Vincent really did want to shut himself off.

    Hopes for the remake (story/content)

For Sephiroth, even though he's never justified becoming what he is, fell from being a morally good person to what he is now. In contrast, Hojo was always bad to the bone. Sephiroth is irredeemable in his current form, but he wasn't always that way.

The Magic of FFVII's Plot Twists

You know I think non-fans who never played the games will assume that the popular persona of Cloud is his real personality. I still think the twist still holds up for those who never delved into the game. At the end of the day, Cloud is a deconstruction of an escapist character because instead...

Were Iflana and Aerith kept in a different part of Shinra from Sephiroth?

Yeah, again Sephiorth has nothing but contempt for the scientist-who is also his father. And again I don't think they would tell Sephiroth anything about them, because again if Sephiroth would start asking questions to Ifalna and Aerith about who they are then that will make him find out what...

The Magic of FFVII's Plot Twists

I agree he makes a good point about how they utilize this tactic well.

Were Iflana and Aerith kept in a different part of Shinra from Sephiroth?

I kind of wish if they would confirm if that was the original set up. And again it would of made a world of difference, if he found Iflana and Aerith because it would give him all the reason to rebel against Hojo. He took away Gast-the only person who cared for him, while also imprisoning his...

Is the ff7 remake an ode to the fans or a revival of a dying series

Yeah, FF7 put Square on the map internationally. I mean Square was already famous country-wise, but internally FF7 introduced the RPG genre to many .

    Hopes for the remake (story/content)

It would be interesting if they made him part Cetra. And that is true. It doesn't dwell on it, but when you think about it. That's pretty grim to think about the extinction of a whole race.

The Remake Should Have the Ultimania Reason For Lucrecia Choosing Hojo Over Vincent

Mostly because I thought the Dirge Of Cerberus reason for why Lucrecia chose Hojo really was over the top and melodramatic. I think the better reason was simply because she felt pity for the guy, since he felt inadequate compared to Gast. This Futurama clip at 1:08, where Leela says the...

    Hopes for the remake (story/content)

On the other hand, you can't always use rule of cool when it comes to writing, especially it seems the game glosses over the fact that the Cetra became extinct with Aerith dying.
