The Remake Should Have the Ultimania Reason For Lucrecia Choosing Hojo Over Vincent

Mostly because I thought the Dirge Of Cerberus reason for why Lucrecia chose Hojo really was over the top and melodramatic. I think the better reason was simply because she felt pity for the guy, since he felt inadequate compared to Gast. This Futurama clip at 1:08, where Leela says the...

Hopes for Remake & Rebirth (story/content)

On the other hand, you can't always use rule of cool when it comes to writing, especially it seems the game glosses over the fact that the Cetra became extinct with Aerith dying.

Hopes for Remake & Rebirth (story/content)

Because having the race go extinct with her death is really too much of a downer.

Hopes for Remake & Rebirth (story/content)

I actually would make "Inspire" have more of an explanation in-universe. Maybe it's an ability that the Ancients used to have. Maybe Reeve's has heavy Cetra ancestry and "Inspire" was a special ability even rare among them.

Vincent Valentine - The "John Wick" of FFVII Remake?

So true. Also the fact that in the Ultimanias it said that Lucrecia ultimately chose him because she felt pity for him when it came to being compared with Gast. It would be interesting if he was younger he could look pitiful and use that to his advantage to manipulate someone like Lucrecia.

Vincent Valentine - The "John Wick" of FFVII Remake?

You know if they actually made flashback Hojo younger looking, he would still look creepy and off putting as heck but at least somewhat approachable.

Vincent Valentine - The "John Wick" of FFVII Remake?

Yeah, Hojo still looking the same as his old self is just laziness. I mean that's the reason why Lulu doesn't look pregnant in FFX-2. Also about the Vincent's clothing option thing; yeah just chalk it up to Hojo being weird.

Maybe just explain his "Inspire" ability as giving life to inorganic life. Just like Big Mom's Soul Soul Fruit from one piece. https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Soru_Soru_no_Mi

Hopes for Remake & Rebirth (story/content)

As said before, I would love to have more of Mama Jenova expanded upon. And I would have to give her some Raygo aspects, because her theme in my opinion would go great with Jenova's character. Seriously, I would love humanoid Jenova to have a body looking like Ragyo's.

Vincent Valentine - The "John Wick" of FFVII Remake?

If he failed to protect Hojo, then nothing of value would be lost. :desucait:

Hopes for Remake & Rebirth (story/content)

A good story element is maybe having flashbacks of the Cetra fighting Jenova.

Vincent Valentine - The "John Wick" of FFVII Remake?

So yeah, I remember people saying that people were overhyping Vinnie, when in-game he does have a legendary status.

If Sephiroth Didn't Turn For The Worse? Do you think he could have tapped into his powers and control Jenova?

I know but it makes me think that human Sephiroth could maybe overcome Jenova's will and control her.

If Sephiroth Didn't Turn For The Worse? Do you think he could have tapped into his powers and control Jenova?

Yeah, what if Sephiroth never went evil and actually tapped into Jenova's powers and could still control her. That would have been cool. Like he could overcome her will to control her. Or did he have to become one with the Lifestream in order to do that.

Vincent Valentine - The "John Wick" of FFVII Remake?

Why do fools fall in love? But seriously his love for Lucrecia really got him screwed over by Hojo. Then again he was the only one who saw how dangerous the experiment was on Lucrecia and probably was even concerned about how Sepihroth could possibly turn out.

Portrayal of Cloud's Mental State (and eventually Zack) in the Remake

Yeah, that's what a lot of spinoff material forget about her is that at her core she is a human character and not some pure goddess. That's why many find her OG version so enduring, because she's not just a flat waif but someone who actually gets angry, has a rough edge, and has a mischievous...

Vincent Valentine - The "John Wick" of FFVII Remake?

So, there is reason to believe he was considered a legend among Turks.

Portrayal of Cloud's Mental State (and eventually Zack) in the Remake

He's actually an unbuilt trope of what we stereotypically think of as an average JRPG protagonist. The image we see him as in the beginning is just an act. He becomes a true hero by being himself and not trying to be some macho guy compensating for something.

    FFVII Fanfiction

https://archiveofourown.org/works/20637467 - I found this fanfiction on AOC, but it really delves into Hojo's mindset in a very darkly humorous way. Because it really emphasizes what an amoral sociopath he is.

Portrayal of Cloud's Mental State (and eventually Zack) in the Remake

He's kind of an audience surrogate in so many ways. The kind of person who wishes he was stronger and faster.
