I'm wondering when they're going to release Rebirth for Xbox and Switch 2? If they aren't starting the marketing for Part 3 until both of those are well and out then it's hard to see Part 3 releasing in the first half of 2027, possibly late 2027 or early 2028. Remake for Xbox isn't coming out...

Keep in mind there is still a Part 3, directly continuing the story. Anything that was setup in Rebirth will most likely follow through. Tifa saw a vision of Cloud following Sephiroth while in the lifestream, this gives her hints and intuitions that will progress throughout not just Rebirth...

I would rather that Aerith live and Zack live and have everything not lead into Advent Children in the end than to have Aerith's death handled by having the Whispers forcing it to happen. That would feel so unbelievably cheap, really hope that's not what they're going for.
