I watched Hunger Games with a friend, second time I've watched it. Still don't understand why this is a thing. Granted it's not as bad as twilight.

I have suspicion they will go for yearly releases with several dev teams like Assassin's Creed.

I don't particularly like qtes. Except one or two that have good scenes. But all added together they make like 5 minutes of total gameplay. Non issue imo.

It doesn't have to suggest something otherwise. In fact I find it quiet boring if it did. Heroism and empathy does not need the justification of sexual attraction. Which is why even according to the author it was written as a friendship, it is the fans that decide it needs that soap opera...

Game does have a problem with supporting characters. But that's ok because they are kind of a background for Lara's journey. Interesting read. But it pretty much says it's all in the fans' imagination. And outside of her private thoughts only boyfriends were apparently on the table. Who knows...

It doesn't play like the old TRs. For better or worse the gameplay is in line with what you'd expect from a modern game. There is no more clunkiness of the old controls or the trial and error platforming. Most of the challenge comes from combat and if you can play any modern 1st/3rd person...

I take it they missed the fact you are actually given a choice to express your disgust in that first scene.

I wouldn't even say outraged. By embracing the depiction of the racist beliefs of those times it only mocks them because of how absurd it makes them look.

I've finished it. Here is advice: whatever you do... DO NOT get the plot spoiled for you. Whatever you'll think of it, trust me, you want to let it hit you on its own terms.

Cutscene QTEs I'm ok with. Also things like counter prompts were good. The wolves were unnecessary though. I doesn't detract from this game thought. And it really is a fantastic game. Better than I thought it would be.
