The common opinion is Yakuza 0 or Yakuza: Like a Dragon. But I'd say definitely start with Yakuza 0 :monster:

Majima's story in 0 is so captivating. I'm going to be honest and say Kiryu's stuff felt less interesting to me (I started with 0 as well.) But in context of the other games, Kiryu in 0 makes sense. I grew to love him muchly later. <3
