I know there's no FFX world map theme, I ain't the one that brought it up. FFIV's world map theme was being compared to FFVI and FFVII, which were acknowledged to double as character themes for Cloud and Terra, then one of you brought up those weren't the reasons it's not the best world map theme and FFX was brought up instead, which, yeah, doesn't have a world map.

As for Gabranth (sorry for not elaborating earlier), he's introduced as collaborator too Vayne's deception, taking the place of Kingslayer Basch, then when we see him again years later, he's become the Emperor's right hand, spying on Vayne, trying to be a genuinely loyal servant of the Empire, rather then just using his position to get back at Basch, then the Emperor and Drace dies and he becomes Larsa's protector, then finally the breakdowns at Pharos and the Bahamut, where he wants Ashe to go to war on the Empire, just to prove to himself that revenge is the road anyone would choose and expresses he doesn't deserve to live for working for the Empire (even though at this point in the game, the late Emperor, Larsa and Drace were at much good guys in the narrative as anyone). Then he makes peace with his brother and after his death Basch takes the name of Gabranth instead, making everything come full circle (and not just for the in and out of universe fun of it like with IX's ending)
Basch is probably the best character in XII while Balthier is the most entertaining, but him steadfastly being able to hold on to his honor, whatever failure he endures, is only interesting when it's contrasted with Vossler and (in particular) Gabranth, who simply can't and we see improvise every way they can. So when you talk about character arcs in Final Fantasy, that what I'd go with (outside of Cloud or Tidus)

But anyway, I'd ask vader to go through Final Fantasy Type-0 in English and Japanese, I'd be really interested to hear which he likes better.

Also with the SE store Europe, I'll say that for better or worse, they pretty much did wait until local workhours before making it available for buying with the Euro. (god knows I checked)

but yes, all the same I would like more SE events like Uncovered. Though maybe not highlighting one game only (I understand with things as uniquely long awaited as both Versus XIII and the VII Remake you gotta make it one or the other but other Final Fantasy installments I feel can share the stage with each other)

Just 1 bit of feedback. Don't eat on the podcast, Ryu. I wasnt going to bring it up, but I can see it becoming an issue, since this is the 2nd or 3rd time I've noticed it. And I know from listening to othe podcasts, its something that gets people's backs up and loses listeners. :)
