Whole lotta good that's doing now though hahaha why be interested in what was said and shown when you can make up your own stories, right haha

Hopefully looking at returning at the end of the year so maybe in time for Tokyo Game Show. But for now, just a mortal I guess haha.

Why don't they instead of releasing the remake episodic, why not just make it multiple discs?so,even if it took more than the original took,at least they could release it as one big game.

That would require them taking a much longer amount of time, as well as charging a huge price to reflect what they are releasing. Much more than the average consumer would be willing to spend on one game. It would not work at all.

Disc size has nothing to do with it.

It has to do with the scale of the actual game, and how to keep it as big and lush with details as possible.

Square Enix has developed a bad reputation of cutting corners to create the illusion of larger games as the expectations of going beyond pre-rendered graphics became too much pressure. That's why things started turning into hallway simulators: it simplified the need to develop and process all that detail if most of it was too far away to ever get a close look at.

Making it multiple parts in theory means each part gets as much time as it needs, while reaping in income at intervals. No more hallways, no more cut corners, no more lack of content.

We'll see if Square uses this to the player's advantage though.
