For lack of a trailer, I watched this breakdown video.
This is the first I ever hear of Kal-El's ancestry beyond his father, Jor-El. Though of course for comic book fans, Kal-El's grandfather Seyg-El is not new.
I'm curious what the major goal of this tv-show will be. Does it want to set things up for future DC movies or just be its own, isolated story?

NBC apparently copyright claimed that video (and all the others on YouTube), but at the same time there're claims that it's not official so they don't have their own version up – which is super weird if they're still copyright claiming it.

Well that sure as shit aint the nolan bros, it's that hack David S. Goyer who execs for some reason keep giving hand outs to after he got credit for writing a few lines in DK that the Nolans probably never used.
