A Cloud Actually In Soldier FFVII Au

An idea I have been thinking of for some time, my biggest question is how I should go about it one is Canon compliant except cloud is soldier the other is one where no jenova exists and sephiroth never goes mad and such.

I just want some inputs and maybe ideas as well as if I should go through with it with like month and a half left before ffvii remake is out I really want to do some fics for it as well as the original compilation

Interesting concept. I'd say go ahead, don't worry about the remake unless you want to. FF7 is a remake, people know that there's already a story there.

The interesting question for me in that story is, does Cloud become the person he is without all he goes through, or does he stay a face in the crowd? Obviously that stays up to you.

You know I've never really given much thought to Sephiroth, he's not that interesting of a character to me. But a non-Jenova Sephiroth AU does intrigue me because I now suddenly have all these questions I need answered.

Like does his parents experiment on him and if so what kind of experiments? Would Lucrecia be around, would she still consent to using her own child to experiment upon? Does he join Soldier, there's still Soldier without Jenova because Shinra was already experimenting with mako, but no Jenova means they're not crazily strong. Does Shinra still win the war against Wutai without a suped-up Sephiroth? Maybe. It would definitely have gone on longer for sure. Is Sephiroth the poster-boy for Soldier and if so how did he earn it if not through monstrous strength?

What if he isn't used as a research subject and doesn't join Soldier? What does Sephiroth become instead? Is there a certain Turk roaming around now that he hasn't been shot for complaining about controversial baby-experimentation and does he look out for Lucrecia's boy? Is there an AU where Sephiroth joins the Turks is what I want to know

Hmmm good question that is what I am trying to figure out if I do this au I mean do I completely rewrite cloud Canon or keep some of his Canon story intact. I will do but thanks for the vote of confidence lol no really I will be thinking on it and see where my imagination goes from there
