Advent Children 2003 Proto-Movie

Anyone know if this was ever included as a bonus feature in any release of Advent Children or if it might have been leaked? I am unable to find solid references to it outside of this page from the Reunion Files.

In my search I found the claim that FFX-2 International came with a trailer for Advent Children. The trace leads back to RPGamer which points to Magic Box as the source, but their news archive traces no further back than October 2005.


So, anyone ever seen this proto-movie? Also, was a trailer for AC ever featured in or with FFX-2 International?

Proto-AC: not to my knowledge.

FFX-2 Int. trailer: there was one, accesable from the title menu screen.

No one has ever seen it, it was never made public.

And I'm somewhat certain that FFX-2 Int. indeed came with a trailer.

I remember we used to be OMG SUPER EXCITE at every tiny little tidbit about the movie, and even moreso at every new trailer / preview that showed just a little more of the movie.

I have every release version of AC and I don't recall any of this. The FFX-2 trailer, sure, and the Last Order, of course, along with the usual booklets that came with it, but that was all.

This is one of the MANY MANY MANY things I want to do but simply don't have the time and energy to do, due to other projects and responsibilities.

I don't care how good or bad a Compilation title is. The goal of TLS should be to document EVERYTHING.

Edit: Yes, ALL THE THINGS. Every trailer, all the interviews with the creators, magazine scans, books etc etc. That's one of the goals I've tried to emphasize since I became Content Coordinator.

Aside from the proto-movie, it would also be nice to have the 23-minute digest movie shown at the Venice Festival.

Yeahhh, I should've looked at the link first, my eyes totally just skipped it---anyways, it'd be interesting if SE would release more about this "proto-movie." I'd like to see the Hardy Daytona in some action.

The only glimpse you'll ever find of that footage are the screenshots from the Reunion Files that show it was just a CGI movie of Cloud riding the Hardy Daytona on some buildings and stuff. I don't think it's ever been planned for an actual release.

I agree with the mission statement.

As for the 23-minute Venice footage, that was included with at least the Limited Edition North American release, if not the original release as well.

Probably.

Each has his/her own taste I guess. AC/C is actually one of my favorite movies. There haven't been any movies up to this point that could compare with it imho, it is just amazing. It is also what introduced me to the FFVII universe. Before that I had played FF1, 2, tactics, tactics advance, X and VI.

Well, in my experience the kidney stones would take longer so AC might be the better choice if only so you can get back to other things sooner.
