Animated Gif help please!

Hey peoples, got a question.

I'm wanting to make an animated gif avatar where it starts off with a frame, then after a couple of seconds does a little movement to another frame, holds on it for a little bit and does another little movement to bring it back to the start frame.

Usualy I make animated gif's with Premiere however they always end up too big for forum use and you can't hold a still image as it counts the time its up as more frames.

I've seen avatars around similar to the style I want that were small in filesize, so can anyone tell me how I can achieve this (suggest a program and proceedure) please? Thanks!

I don't have much experience making animated gifs myself but you could try reducing the frame rate and resolution of the image.

In the second half of the video she goes into reducing the frame rate etc.

Photoshop CS3, CS4 I think it was only on imageready before those
imageready
flash
search for a tutorial on how to do it on any of those, should be an easy find.

Try VideoAvatar. It turns videos to .gifs

I always use ulead gif animator for any gif processing. Most programs should allow you to change the duration of each frame individually.
