From the poll it's easily Doma or Vector, although Home Sweet Home is certainly no slouch

Slum Shuffle. (Slam Shuffle is a mistranslation; they're apparently written the same way in Japanese. "Slum" makes much more sense since Zozo is, well, a slum).

Other fine themes include Harvest, My Home Sweet Home, Tenderness in the Air (FFV town theme), Mystic Mysidia, Troian Beauty, Illusionary World (Land of Summons), The Mines of Narshe, Under Martial Law, The Emperor Ghastla, Cyan's Theme, Dark World, and Awakening. Actually if I had noticed Cyan's theme was on there I might have voted for it instead, but I don't think of it as a town theme so maybe not.

Baron Castle and Fabul are castle themes. Castles and towns are two different things.

Doma's definitely a castle, not a town. The distinction seems pretty arbitrary anyway.

Troian Beauty is a castle theme as well. The village plays Welcome To Our Town.

So it is. I'd have to redo the whole order of the poll options to keep the "who voted" thing displaying the proper results though, or else alter them in MySQL, so I'm not sure it's worth it. Doma was easy to remove because it was three choices from the end of the poll. If people really want me to I guess I can do it anyway though.

edit: on second thought, what the hell, I went ahead and removed it anyway. It wasn't that much of a pain.

Voted for FF1 town based on the remake. Very Chrono Cross-esque.

While we're necro-ing music threads I gotta gush once more about Home Sweet Home. It made the top of my Top Ten Town Themes video and it definitely tops the list here. There is something very authentic about the musical construction that gives it a properly medieval sound. It sounds like something you'd actually hear a street side minstrel playing and there is such beauty in its simplicity.

I always preferred the Feymarch's music. I feel it fits the mystic realm your in, and marks the true turning point of the game, from a story about a bunch of misfits to the story of heroes for forgo their pasts to save their futures.
