Completed all missions?

I've had this game forever now and I've beaten it easily twice. However, I never did complete all of the side missions in the game. Does anything different or special happen if you do beat them all?

I never beaten them all, but I'm pretty sure the last mission you fight the hardest hidden boss, Minerva. And... I'm not sure what else.

Yeah, you get to fight Minerva, get another email relating to it, and new accessories for defeating her.

wow, now I'm feeling lost. i don't even know who Minerva is. Pitiful huh? lol

The Goddess. 'Tis her name. You see her after defeating Genesis.

Oh, so Minerva is the goddess. Okay, that makes sense. But here I thought that Genesis, just had some weird fantasy made up in his head from a freakin novel. So, the guy's not completely nuts like some silver haired friend that we all know eh?

You can actually beat Minerva before completing the other missions although I'm not entirely sure this is doable the first time you play CC. That said it took me about 2 new game pluses before I was actually strong enough to beat her and a 3rd new game plus before I beat her before completeing the Modeoheim chapter. Beating her essentialy involves lots of running around, dodging, curing, reviving and about a billion costly punches.

I must admit it was kinda interesting to see Zack morph from his 18 year old self to his 23 year old self in the about the space of 3 seconds especially when you haven't got round to beating Angeal yet although I was kinda disappointed they only use his 23 year old character model for that fight even if you haven't finished the Modeoheim Chapter.

Oh yeah and I don't think you can complete all DMW images and hidden scenes until you complete all missions, I know I didn't until I was on the last couple of missions in the 9th section.

I haven't figured any of that out yet. Is it a mission or something on the side? Or maybe it's just a special fight after all missions? I'm not sure I'm getting it 100% here.

Yeah I haven't done all of them, either. I'm so bad. T_T

I haven't even done all the Yuffie ones yet, and I think they reveal a side plot point.

Oh, I finished the Yuffie cronicles lol. They just give a hint that she becomes an accomplished materia hunter. Nothing too special, but neat at the same time.

I completed all the side quests save one plus beaten the game.

The one I didn't complete, 'cause I couldn't, was Minerva.

WTH!?!?!

I just used her to get 99 Phoenix Downs after a while.

I was just not strong enough.

Before Nibelheim - so I think it's the second or third to last chapter.

Lazard gets the full lowdown during normal gameplay. Particularly at the end. Well, technically they could have explained more but...

Really? Maybe you ought to play through some parts again (or check out the clips online at least).

That's kind of typical if you ask me. Not surprising at all. However I really just played the game for the storyline as I do all the FFVII games. I mean, I love FFVII like girls love twilight, it's rediculous.

No I'm not talking about the stuff that happens in the main storyline of the game! I had heard that more of Lazard's story was fleshed out if you did certain missions.

Because if what we get in the main storyline is all the game ever gives us, then I'm a little disappointed. It never really explains much, does it? :/

I think a lot of it depends on how important the character is. To me it just seems like they wanted to show you who the director actually was and then explain why he was never mentioned or seen any time afterwards in the story.
