Looking forward to this scene in the remake.
Definitely hope they don't have Seph jump in though.

I've always felt the music is underwhelming in Crisis Core's depiction of Cloud throwing Sephiroth into the mako pit. Especially when compared to the original game, which features the main theme. This is Cloud's biggest moment, but Crisis Core manages to make it feel soulless.

The trouble Crisis Core had with that scene was that it can't time any of it's music to what is going on in cutscenes... particularly cutscenes the player is manually interacting with. So the most you ever get is music files changing around at specific points. LO matches the music to what is going on on-screen much better.
The other thing LO does is that it doesn't have unscripted boss fights that can't be planned out. So all the fights can be scripted out for maximum impact and interspersed with dialogue. It's a problem many video games have had until recently. Even Remake suffers from it at times.

I don't think I'm noticing any difference in the music between any recordings of that cutscene. It's just the same shitty track playing the same notes at the same points.

They have two chances to remake this scene.
One with remake, which who knows how it will go. Im hoping more like the OG scene with cloud throwing seph in. Although remake also gets two chances its self to show that scene. Once from zlouds pov and the true clouds story.

Funnily (tragically?) enough, the HD release of FFVII also screwed up the music here, and it just plays the reactor theme the entire time.
I doubt Seph will jump in in Ever Crisis, since LO is generally considered not canon, and CC went back to how the original was.
