Dirge of Cerberus International

Hello! I just bought the Dirge of Cerberus International, and as I have read this version has the cutscenes multiplayer that came with the dirge of cerberus Japanese, The thing is that I find those scenes in the game. Someone who has the game and can confirm it? Thank you!


An interesting thing has been that I play PCSX2 0.9.8 Emulator and set the BIOS as Japanese or American, the game goes subtitling of one language or another, it's strange.International Version Edit


Dirge of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII- International was released in Japan on September 4th, 2008. The version retains the new features incorporated into the North American and European releases, and includes the cutscenes that were originally only available in the Japanese online Multiplayer Mode. Audio is in English, with Japanese text and subtitles.
It was released straight away as a Greatest Hits title.

I wish I could look this up for you (as you made me finally driven enough to look up PS2 emulation myself) but it looks like I need a BIOS from a Japanese-compatible PS2 console in order to play the game. Too scared to search for one. =/

I should get down to either buying a chipped PS2 or a Japanese console, so I can finally play both the original release and International, but I have enough money leaving me as is...

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm downloading BIOSes right now. Here's hoping that I manage to play the game on my PC.

No worries. I have the game, the proper BIOS and the emulator.

Only problem now is I have to re-install Alcohol120 so I can make an ISO out of the game. Thanks for motivating me to look this stuff up, finally.

Wait didn't ps2 emulator can also use ps2 disk to play. You don't have to convert it to iso right?

No, i dont need ISO, i can play directly with the game original, i want know if is possible with this game see the cutscenes of the multiplayer japanase game, i think is possible but need advance in the game and recover to G-reports.

I have *heard* that DC International has the PlayOnline cutscenes unlockable, but I've never actually seen proof of this. Playing through the game and unlocking everything will take a LONG time for me, so it is possible guisado that you'll figure this stuff out before I do.

you need put the Bios Japanese in the emulator,or Bios Usa if you want play in english.

I have already put in the Japanese BIOS. But after popping in the Dirge of Cerberus International disc, I just have no way of selecting it via PCSX2. All it looks for are ISO files.

EDIT: My attempts at fixing all this are getting very...messy. I have almost no chance of successfully playing the game until Sunday, when my computer-savvy friend comes over.

I don't own the game (I was considering getting it to record the cutscenes from the multiplay in higher quality than what was available before), but looking at websites about it, you need to look in the 'Extra Features' for the 'Fragments of Memories' option that unlocks after you finish the game, and to destroy capsules in game to unlock them. To get the 'Past Chapter' [「既往章」] scenes from the online mode, you need to destroy these capsules in the main game:

2. (Colourless and Silver) - Edge 4 [K-13] - the rafter on the ceiling, north-west from the second floor [L-14]
3. (Danger Level SSS) - WRO HQ Underground [G-13] - on top of a pipe on the north wall
4. (Azul's Dinner) - Nibelheim Underpass 4 [J-4] - on top of a step (enemies appear when you take the item)
5. (Not even a Tsviet) - Shinra Manor ground floor/second floor [G-10] - the broken ceiling
6. (At Darkness' Feet) - WRO Bridge [F-10] - under the bridge girder that you can see in the south from F-5
7. (Real Yet Fake) - WRO HQ [G-6] - when you enter, in the collapsed corridor you can see in front
8. (Have Some Fun Once In A While) - Train Graveyard 4 [K-7] - under a train, on the 'defeat the commander' map
9. (The Power of the Transparent) - Midgar Central Tower: Top Floor [B-13] - Rosso fight, second floor area
10. (Emperor Unchained) - Research Area [B-4] - while riding the elevator (second time), towards the north-west
11. (The Title of Emperor) - Deepground [D-9] - on top of the rail where the cart stops
12. (When The Score Is Settled) - Deepground: Ruins 1 [E-2] - on top of the reinforcing bars on the water in the north you can see from E-3
13. (The Tragedy's End) - Midgar No. 0 Mako Reactor 7 [F-9] - on top of the wire netting on the ceiling

* 'on top' might be 'above' in some places
