Anyone know if this animes good? I found the soundtrack randomly and Im tempted to watch because of it. Reminds me of playstation.

It's pretty much Naruto meets magic.
Not bad but the plotline is pretty good for keeping the action scenes going and the jokes although repeditive are usually nicely timed.

Overall not bad but not the greatest.

In my experience, the Manga's better. It's by the same guy as Groove Adventure Rave, but it's an action comedy, and he's playing to the comedy.

Much like the original Dragon Ball, in its own way.

Yay, we have a thread on Fairy Tail~!

I particularly like the anime and manga both. Anime because it shows us more of the minor characters, I like the music (especially for certain heart pulling scenes), and I love the voice acting (although I really don't like how they are pushing Wendy on us hard as if she's one of the main main characters whenever it is a filler episode. She's so annoying and doesn't have much personality other than being moe! >_< ).

For manga it's the way he tells multiple story arcs and always manages to link each one to the other, I like the art, and it always knows when to throw me off in either a good or bad way (like how that certain mage managed to overcome that fighting style from the villain or that bullshit Cana background. WTF?!). Overall they each have their own quirks and stand alone well (although they do have annoying traits). I think you should definitely check both out to see which one you personally like.

It's alright, there's a few decent characters and story twists in it, but it's basically a One Piece version of Naruto, and Naruto is uhh... average xD

It's not one of my favorites, and it's a little out dated, and there's too much better animes out there at the moment, like Ao No Exorcist <3 Though if you love Naruto, then it's a highly recommend. (:

She's always been one of Fairy Tail's strongest mages along with Luxus, Gildarts and Mystogun and it's been said that she's a candidate to be one of the 10 wizard saints, 7 years back. Having gone through the Second Origin Release with relative ease which has left everyone screaming in pain, she probably is one of the strongest mages of Fiore now.

I'd say hell yes watch the Fairy Tail anime, or read the manga if thats your thing (I generally tend to prefer anime over manga due to music/I like animation).

One of the best series out there IMO. Good characters, excellent storytelling, good action, and the anime itself has a downright amazing soundtrack. I know I sound the part of a fanboy here but I genuinely believe that Fairy Tail is among the best Anime/Manga series out there.

It seems like she can do no wrong, yes she's one of the strongest mages, but even luxus, mystogan and gildarts seem flawed in one aspect or another. I never really noticed flaws in Erza's character.

Erza's plenty flawed in the beginning -- she's really too strict on herself and on her other teammates, couldn't really bring herself to rely on others, had a low sense of self-worth and when she first came to the guild, she was quite socially awkward and aloof. Her loosening up and opening up to her teammates is always was an ongoing thing, but it isn't until the Tower of Heaven arc that Erza is able to overcome her issues and finally be able to move on from her past.

hmm maybe mary sue was a bit too strong a word, i think she's just too overpowered is all, but then again this is a shounen manga.

I never thought I'd get to say this about Laxus, but he made my kokoro go doki doki this chapter. Laxus curbstomping the shit out of Raven Tail's elite and his dad and avenging his guildmates was pure awesome.

What do you things of Charlie's premonitions? I realllllly don't want Lucy to die but that's what it's looking like so far.

Charles' premonitions tie in strongly with whatever Arcadio's has in store for Zeref's Eclipse Plan, which requires Lucy, or a Celestial Spirit Mage. I dunno if the Eclipse Plan calls for the death of a Celestial Spirit Mage, but if someone's going to die for the plan to work, I'm really afraid that it's going to be Lucy, since she possesses most of the Zodiac Keys.

But Lucy's not the only Spirit Mage around -- we've still got Yukino around, assuming that 1. Yukino hasn't left the town yet and 2. any Celestial Spirit Mage will do for the plan. Lucy in Charles' premonition might be crying over Yukino, who might sacrifice herself to save Lucy, which will be the most likely way for Lucy to get the last 3 Zodiac keys.

Levy's narration also makes Lucy's status after the Grand Magic Games sound really ambiguous too, but if my guess that Yukino sacrifices herself to save Lucy is right, I'm also going to guess that after the Grand Magic Games that Lucy goes mysteriously missing and assumed dead, or she leaves Fairy Tail for whatever reason.

Also, I think that Yukino mentioned that she and Lucy are the only Celestial Spirit Mages left in Fiore, which makes me wonder if the disappearance of Celestial Spirit Mages are tied in any way with the Eclipse plan, and if Layla's death connected to said plan.

Edit: Also, Charles had a premonition before about Cana crying, a scared Natsu, Zeref and a hand, but it turned out differently from what she expected, so I have hope that what we're expecting is different too.
