Favorite characters of FF7? (gameplay wise)

What characters do you often find yourself using the most throughout the original FF7? Do you stick with the same three, mix and match, or have a favorite few? Remember, this is talking about gameplay wise. Which characters do you use the least?

I usually stick with the Cloud, Cid, and Barret combo. Cloud because you have to, Barret because, well, I never used to before, but now he's grown on me, and Cid, because he's just my favorite character. Coincidentally, these three are some of the most powerful in the game. However, I almost never use Red XIII, and I'm not sure why since I have nothing against the poor guy.

I use mostly Cloud, Tifa, and Yuffie since they're the ones I enjoy using the most.

Yuffie's "Bloodfest" Limit Break does more damage than her level 4 one, and its pretty powerful with her Ultimate Weapon, so yeah. I enjoy using her a lot. Same goes for Tifa.

Tifa and Red XIII.

Tifa because she's just about the only monk form the series I really enjoy using, and her limit breaks are always fun to do.

I like Red XIII because he's so different from every other FF character, so I forgive his lackluster limit breaks.

The ones I use least are Barret and Yuffie. I've never liked Barret's weapon unfortunately, and Yuffie just annoys me too much to use consistently.

I mainly used Cloud, Cid and Red. Cid and Red were just characters i enjoyed and i liked Red's earth rave limit. I hardly ever used Tifa, Barret or Yuffie for some reason.

I usually stick with the characters who's personalities I like. If there's a pesky or anoying character, I tend to avoid all gameplay that revolves around them. X.x

My most frequently used characters are (besides Cloud, duh) Red XIII, Cid, and Cait Sith. I rarely ever use Aerith, Tiffa, or Yuffie, and I sometimes use Barret.

I always seem to use Cid. Love his limits. And either Barret or Tifa. I rarely use Aerith except for a couple boss fights where her Seal Evil limit come in handy.

I have done runs with Vincent and Yuffie. I never use Cait Sith. And rarely use Red.

Cloud, Tifa, Aerith until Aerith's gone, then Vincent, Cloud, Tifa. Mostly because I feel like during the cutscenes having Aerith and Tifa usually gets you the most information, versus characters like Yuffie who usually just says something arbituary. Vincent, on the other hand, I just use because I like him.

Cid, because he's my favourite. Love his run.
Tifa, because of her limit breaks.

Yuffie because she's often very useful.
Vincent because I never get tired of watching how he takes aim.

I switch between Tifa and Red XIII for my second character, and Barret and Cid for my third, simply because they're my favorites.

I use Aerith consistently while she's alive to get all her limit breaks, but it grates on me because I don't like her as a fighter. And Vincent is too moody, and Yuffie is too annoying, for me to use them.

I use Cid and Yuffie as my second and third all the time. Why these two, I'm not sure. I think it was because I was using this party during a particularly difficult boss fight one time, and when I came through it, I just had a fondness for that setup.

That's pretty much it. Didn't even ever bother maxing out the rest of them, though I did get their ultimate weapons.

On the rare occasion I use someone else, it's Tifa.

RED XIII, Barret, Cid, Yuffie and Tifa. They are seriously, the best characters in all aspects. Battle wise, story wise...everything.

Barret because he's one of my favorite characters (his limits are pretty cool too) and Cid just because he's freaking powerful. Dragon Dive is awesome. THat move is actually what made me switch to Cid. My team WAS Cloud, Barret, and Red but I over to my friend's house once while he was playing FF7. He was ahead of me in the game and had Cid and he used Dragon Dive. I immediately switched for him. Highwind is also badass

Not that Red is wimpy or anything. Of my other playthroughs, my second-favorite team is Cloud, Tifa, and Red.

For the most part, I use Cloud, Cid and Red XIII. Cloud because I have to, Cid because his limits are awesome, and he's pretty powerful, and...well he's Cid. Red never seems to get any love from anyone, I liked his personality, and I had been having some trouble with the demon gate boss, and I used those three, and ended up winning, and I just really liked that setup ever since. Although for my latest playthrough I have been using Vincent Cid and Cloud just for kicks.

Characters I CANT STAND were Tifa and Aerith, really just Tifa, Aerith was okay, but once i found out she died, i honestly thought building her up was a waste of time.

I use Aeris the most throughout disk one because I'm a white mage whore and I thought her limits were the shit. Tifa was also always in my party because I loved her fighting style, and she was... actually stronger than Cloud was in my game.

After Aeris died I used Yuffie a lot. Fuck yeah ninjas.

On my last playthrough I tried to use Barret more (because the team of the original Avalanche just appealed to me) and Red XIII when I could, but I always go back to my main girls.

Until getting to Rocket Town I always use Aerith and Tifa. Then it's always Aerith and Cid. Then it's Tifa and Cid. When Tifa and Cloud are gone I use Cid (not just because I have to, but because he's win on legs), Vincent, and Yuffie.

I liked Cid because like Cloud, his 4xCut moves are all different. I think I generally used Yuffie as well, not sure why. In my most recent playthrough it was because of her lvl 3 limit break. Tifa's reels I found too annoying. Its not like it mattered anyway, as once you're powered up enough, the WEAPONs and Sephiroth are little trouble to kill.

Cid was an awesome character. You can't find any other character in the FF series that yells SHIT at the end of the game.

I consistently switched out characters to keep their levels equal and pretty much used any team. The only thing I particularly remember was that I hated using Vincent (unless I was fighting cactuars) and Cait Sith.

Well, I used Tifa a lot because she was my favorite character in general, and I used Cid because he had that one weapon that tripled your AP growth. Aerith until she died because Fury Brand was particularly useful for getting other characters new limits.

The character I use the least? Aerith.

Didn't use Yuffie cause she so annoying and I never found any fucking point in levelling up Aeris.

I usually mixed up my characters (with the exception of Aerith). Mostly Nanaki Cloud and Cid.

The Mods that let you play as Sephiroth and/or the Turks for the PC were actually pretty cool. hackers went to the trouble of assigning them limit breaks and everything. My legit party was typically Red and Vincent against mobs and Cid and Tifa against Bosses.
