FF Couple Tournament Round 2: Cecil/Rosa vs Cloud/Terra

I fucking LOVE Cecil/Rosa. They're the quintessential FF couple. They're also very similar to one of my FFVII OTPs: Cloud/Tifa. First of all, Cloud is similar to Cecil iwith his guilt complex and desire to be a hero, while Tifa is so similar to Rosa I shouldn't even have to explain why. Second of all, both pairings started out as childhoods friends, and eventually became romances(and both are conclusions to rather infamous love triangles, though VII's is definitely moar infamous). Third of all, both have sequels where they're shown raising kids together, and the man leaves to protect the family in said sequels, before eventually coming back. I could probably name moar, but I've digressed to long and I really need to get the poll up.

I'm not really a huge fan of Rosa, as I've mentioned elsewhere (too much of the typical damsel in distress, mostly), but I still prefer Cecil/Rosa to Cloud being paired with anyone other than Tifa.

Cecil/Rosa, for pretty much the same reason Aaron put forth. I'd rather Cloud just be with Tifa.

Yeah Rydia is the better and more interesting female lead in IV imo. But Cecil and Rosa are the classic FF couple.

Gotta disagree on a minor point Pork:

I wouldn't say IV's love triangle is infamous; in fact I've never heard anyone question Rosa's alignment except one or two dishonest assholes in the VII LTD.

IV's love triangle isn't really debated about, everyone knows it's Cecil/Rosa that's canon, it's infamous for other reasons.
