FF14 TLS Guild thread

I know its quite ass-ish of me to go ahead and make this without munatiks permission but i think it may get cumbersom to track posts relating to the possible guild and seperating them from the posts just about how mindfucked members were when they found out the game was being made,much less being released next year.

Anywho cred goes to munatik,ravynn,tetsujin,dacon for the guild idea IIRC



Application process:

In order for players of FF14 to be able to join the TLS guild/clan they would have to join the TLS forum and make a base amount of posts(20-50?) prior
to making the guild application.This is so that we can have something to read up on and get to know you. How you present yourself on the forum is paramount
to getting into the guild.

An Application form should be used when applying to gain access to the guild/usergroup it should be along the lines of

Character Name:
Character Level: (The requirement level to join will be dependant on the max level and time when the application is made , early joiners can be newbies ,
but later in the game , if we keep allowing lowbies in we will get no where)
Class:
Build:
Timezone playtime:
Real life name(optional):
Tell us about yourself:
Reason for joining:
Do you know anyone in the guild?:

In the Hidden section for the Guild usergroup there will be specific sections for ingame needs such as.

Salerooms: This will be for various equipment/resource/Equipment materials/ect. Your wishing to get sold, be it for base value or discount to guildies.

RaidsRoom: This is for organizing dungeon raids, or finding a grinding partner to help making leveling not such a chore.

Guild chat: Pretty much general chat for the guild ,it can pertain to events in game or irl. This is so that guildies can get closer to each other in game or
in forum.

Guild HQ: This is where the leaders/SiC of the guild can decide upon bannings, guild rights and what not.

Informatory: Basically a section for class and build help , or information on certain quests, bosses, maps and a place to find class/build guides, this will
most likely be the most active section especially in the early days when theres not much known about builds/classes.


Black List section: Basically a section (or stickied thread somewhere) To note down all scammers/hackers/assholes/people who leave the guild ungracefully. Its just to help make sure the bad stay out of the guild.
A key component to a successful guild is its reputation, having no famous players is fine but having someone whos infamous is the downfall of a guild.





Also i'd like to see a list of members who are remotely interested of going P2P (pay to play) in this game and giving it a shot

Seems a bit premature, and I don't see anyone interested in the idea of a TLS guild suddenly not giving a shit.

Nar i mean people will give up on it for a few months , then gain interest just prior to release but i think it would just be nice to discuss the guild stuff like we were in the FF14 thread , but just here where everything can be found easier and noted rather then having to go through pages trying to find a few decent ideas for when the games released ya know?

I think this is worth having a separate thread about even though we don't have much to go on yet. Indeed, it's very early, but I think it's a good idea to have somewhere to openly and continuously develop the guild idea and discuss it as more information gets released over the next few months. A lot of other people, either now or in the future, may also want to share their input and point out aspects and necessities that we're missing.

And much kudos to Lunasea for getting on the ball with this.

Icba with that game anymore , no new content in over a fucking year? Ankama will see my money when they actually make something new other then bugs to piss me off or nerfs to fun quests (doplle runs WHHHHHYYYY).

That said SE has done a decent job with upkeeping FFXI with updates, proper bug fixes and fair balancing issues so im kinda excited to potentially get down with a developer who cares enough for the paying player to actually do there job every now and then.

Im considering starting up an account for FFXI for a month (costs less then 20 bucks )

I doubt we won't see any new content til 2.0 Since theres no point making anything new and re-drawing it for 2.0. And i'm fucking sick of nerf after nerf. I hate Ankama Games with a passion.

Having our own section for a guild on this site is an amazing idea btw IF we are some of the highest level people in the game because really what attracts people to the guild mainly is the levels of their peers. The atomosphere and how the guild presents it self is also another huge factor but levels are the main one.

I don't like the posting on TLS before members can join. Unless there was a level cap OR you post on this forum x amount of times.

The thing is we cant just open the flood gates either , i mean think of how you get into blank on the rushu server of dofus?
You gotta be 180 IF you know someone from the guild , if you dont you gotta be damn near to 200 or go through the rigorous process of joining there forums and applying.

I think 10 posts is enough , not to much and not to little.
If they spam it up then they decided that its to much work to spend one hour to make 10 decent posts to join a hopefully decent guild.

The way we did it in Noir (one of the higher level guilds in a game me and ck play) is we basically set up an app section where guests can post , that can theoriticlly work here if we make a section just above the hidden guild section.
How ever that means the only way we know these guys/gals who apply are from what
they decide to tell us or from there rep in game (if there even well known).
Its easier to pull this off on Dofus due to the scammer registry in impsvillage.com but i doubt theres going to be anything darn near that scale for FFXIV for atleast a year or two , and even then getting thousands of players to settle down with one forum will be nigh impossible. I still cant figure out how it was done for imps tbh.

That said i believe that having the applier join the forum and make atleast a certain amount of posts prior to applying would be the best course of action.

Sorry I meant then they could apply for the guild if they wanted to join. not just go oh look your high enough and invite them in. I am in Power and have been in revo, suffra, equil, and storm troopers and even ran my own guild which lasted a year and a half so I know how good guilds run.

But now that I think about it yeah 10 posts isn't that much and it would be a good way to know if the player is suitable material for the guild.

He scammed a few other people as well iirc.

He joined Blank prior to there guild forum process so i guess that goes to show that its pretty easy for scum to get through the cracks, hopefully 10 posts will be enough for an "ok" judgement.

Btw new idea, we should have a sticky thread or even section called the blacklist detailing all known scammers char names/account names/class's that we know of so that we know to instantly say nay.
This could be usefull for people causing shit in guild or that leave ungracefully.

So true i remember my nooby days and attacking a Storm Troopers perceptor just to see all the high levels defend it. Or when i first saw Soviet (hes a legend in dofus, hes quite possibly the best Sram player in the whole game) and getting all jittery when i saw his level 100 aura (he was also one of the first players to hit 100 ).
If we work hard at it and become high levels quick we can capitalize on it , if we can pull in other high levels around us that would be fucking a. Its just about keeping those levels rising and keeping a goal in the distance at all times.

I know malts a scammer but he's an okay guy. And 99% of blank is full of scum anyway.
