Are you an artist and would like the opportunity to have a commissioned Final Fantasy VII design appear on the front cover of a novel, not to mention be used in promotional material witnessed by tens of thousands around the world?
Yes? Then, here's how....
To date, I have used the original FFVII logo on the front cover of my book, but this has just been a place-holder until I was able to replace it with something more unique. I would very much like to work with one of you to create a NEW logo just for my first novel 'A New Threat'.
All entries will be considered and the best one will be selected by the author, M. J. Gallagher (S and G), as the winner by 1st October, 2013.
The prize will be a personalised printed copy of the novel complete with the winning design on the front cover. Alternatively, a cash equivalent will be offered for the value of the book.
The winning entry will thereafter be used as the logo of the novel on all versions of the book, on promotional material for the novel at the discretion of the author, and the artist will be fully credited in the novel itself.
The rules of the competition are simple:
1) Any design must be your own and not stolen from another artist.
2) Designs must be created from scratch. While no copyright infringement will exist as I do not make a profit and the image will fall under parody law, I would like something original.
3) Designs must meet the criteria set by me.
4) You can enter as many times as you like if you have more than one design.
5) By entering the design, you automatically agree to the terms and conditions of its future use by the author. No restrictions will be placed on your personal use of the image. Full credit will be given inside the novel to which the image applies.

- Attached is a 3D image of the Buster Sword. I would like this image to be recreated in the style of the original game logo (http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100707034715/finalfantasy/images/1/1c/Meteor_Logo_Art.jpg).
- Colour must be used, but the image must retain its detail when converted to black and white.
- Artists license is welcome and encouraged
- The dimensions of the main image must be 1024mm x 768mm
- The artists may be requested to presented a smaller version with different dimensions
- Submissions must be made by private mail by 30th September, 2013
