Kotaku Article on Fan Made FFVII HD Remaster mod for PC

Obviously being a fan made creation, it's not a true remastering. The graphics and textures are improved in lots of fun ways and they even upgraded the music from the ole midis. It kinda irked me that the modder updated the menus and text boxes with generic new ones. It looks like FFVIII's crap interface now. Other than that, not a bad job.

The IX interface looks better than the X one. I've been using some of the mods for a while on the community playthrough. Vids are here if anyone fancies another look.

Also I'm surprised Kotaku made an article about it now when some of the mods in that vid have been available for years. All of them have been available for at least a whole year anyway.

Fangu

Great Old One
It's little fly Cloud  I love him from Lex's streams :joy:
Though I never noticed that Cloud actually fistpumps when they win a battle  Cloud fistpumps and Tifa sticks out her boobs. They're a class act made for each other :desu:
And they made the save point look like the one in FFX. Eew.

I dunno. it is improved, I suppose..... I mostly like how the Battle Screen shows the whole screen. But Wedge has a Man Bra now, so no go..... Nah, the sound effects should've tried to be improved from their original sounds, they became catchy and memorable. I kinda just remember those things though..... and the more anatomically correct characters looks weird out on the field since the rest of the world is still kinda chibi'd.... Maybe that just irks me, but it needs to mesh.... I believe they should've just improved the field models instead of recreating them.

If they made an FF7 remaster based on FFXIII's engine...I would totally get that.
