Final Fantasy XIII Non-Spoiler Thread

For all its flaws I really grew to love the XIII series. Though I have to partially attribute that to reading a lot of fanfic that got me through some shite periods in college.

Still, it carved out a nice little spot for itself in my heart.

Sure I've told this story before: XIII is the first game I played on a console newer than Playstation 2. My boyfriend picked it up for me for XBOX because I'd been enjoying FF6 on emulator and he thought I'd enjoy it. I was mesmerized from the waiting screen video. I really enjoyed anime in the 90's and it was SO cool to see such very Japanese graphics and characters again. This was in 2010, i think. Time does fly. Yet it feels like it's ages ago I started playing newer gen consoles games. I'm happy I got to discover XIII, it was a good game to pick up for a noob like me.

Also it spawned Fangu fanfic, which is always a massive plus!
