Apparently you can get
the Regalia back in chapter 15 in the royal edition. Talcott comes to Insomnia and gives it to you as a gift from Cid.

If true,
I think that kills a very emotional scene, in which you get to see what the world you spent so many hours in looks like, now. The music is on point. And let's not forget the cactii!

It's okay, you can cry on my shoulder.

Once I buy the DLC, I'll give it a shot, lol. It should be a blast.

A couple of cool things to share today.

Out-of-bounds exploration in the expanded Insomnia:

----

And speaking of Insomnia,
the buildings (as well as the lighting) visible in the cutscene where Bahamut comes in to attack Ifrit are now different in the Royal Edition:

And speaking of
Bahamut, I've now beaten his Final Round version in "Comrades" while going up against him with just an AI team:

(1:46:00-2:09:00)

This is without doubt the most difficult fight I've had in all of FFXV, but with this accomplished, I do feel that I've finally fully conquered "Comrades." Having also gotten all the trophies associated with the expansion, the only thing left for me to do is get Gentiana to appear to make food at camp.

Sigh... no one wants to clear the missions I need to clear in Comrades. I was looking at the Comrades listing (Square Button on the mission menu)... just nonexistent allies.

I gotta grind and grind till I'm strong enough to boost my party I guess.

(I did manage to beat a pair of Lvl 66 Kujatas at Level 40 though.... just barely though, by Crossbow tactics.)

Also the game mentioned a new store where you can trade elemental items, but I have no idea where it is.

I added you on PSN the other day, and X has expressed that he'd be willing to lend his sword, bow, and axe lance. :monster:

Behind Iris in Lestallum.

In other news, someone noticed that the Regalia's tire treads are designed in the shape of the Regalia emblem:

Haven't been on Comrades in a couple days, and I'll probably be hitting up Overwatch tonight since Brigitte releases, but I will totally be up for coordinating and running you through whatever. That Kujata Mission is pretty fun. What's the easiest way ta coordinate with ya?

Just message me on PSN Mimeblade.

I'll drop whatever I'm doing and join the room or whatever.

10,000 Gil is a Drop in the bucket for a Grinder like me.

Also, Googly-eyes? Uhhhm.... nah.

Frankly speaking I'd rather save that 20 bucks to get the Royal Add-on.

I literally had NO IDEA where this mission was until I looked it up. If you fall once, the mission fails, so you have to control Noctis almost exclusively.

Quite the fight, and quite the view!

(It's even harder to do this mission at night!)

That Timed Quest can be fun after you get used to it. Eventually, I was warp-striking my way through it, even at night.

Also, if you fall, you can usually orient the camera in time to give you a view of one of the point-warps on either arch above. You can then hold triangle and have Noct warp back up.

Related: It was a bunch of fun watching him play through and beat the Royal Edition of FFXV on Twitch and see how much he absolutely LOVED the game, especially because of how the final chapter really tightened up the ending. The vid of his stream of the end of the game is: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/239618146 You can find his vids here if you wanna see more of the XV stuff and other things he's been streaming: https://www.twitch.tv/maximilian_dood/videos/all

Man, I had to idea about the Cross-Chain Vulnerable state that lets you do 99,999 Damage if you damage the front section enough. That's pretty ridiculously helpful.

I think that the most annoying thing about the boss is that it isn't clear what you SHOULD be doing to beat it. I know that I ended up looking up that Royal Arms can damage it close to normally, but I got by it by just Rognarok-smashing the antenna & letting it rage over and over again, because you can do close-to normal damage to that part of it consistently, and stay mostly away from its attacks (aside from the fact that the Chocobros REALLY want to stand around in its death field).

I dunno, I think that this boss for me really just emphasized how much better Comrades is at providing really satisfying combat.

Not sure how many noticed but Omega's Boss Theme is a remix of Final Fantasy V's Battle Theme (appropriate since that's when Omega first debuted, historically).

Well, I'm strong enough to reduce Round 2 Bahamut's HP by half, now I just need allies who are smart enough to roll under his wave of swords.

Oh yeah... does anyone know any good junk Weapons to farm Meteorite from? You get it from dismantling, but if you put enough of them on a weapon, you can increase it's base level up to Level 120.

You can buy the Knight's Lance from Meldacio if you got access to that store. Also, the second-hardest Chocobo Arena gives you 5.

Basically any weapon you can easily get to Lv 60 works.

Weapons only need to be at level 50 to give you a meteorite, so for me, the Samoji is a great choice. It goes from 1 to 50 without need for modification.

Also, the Mikazuki goes from 1 to 99 without need for modification, but it could be a pain in the ass getting the items to trade for it at Meldacio. That said, there's also a Besmirched Blade (a rare break drop, I think) that evolves into the Mikazuki at level 50 (and can then go to level 99) without any modifications other than pumping enough EXP into it to hit level 50.

Welcome to FFXV. :monster:

Seriously tho, I was about 20-30 levels over the final bosses by the time I finished the game.
