Forever Entertaiment to develop multiple remakes of Square Enix Japan IP

Forever Entertainment has entered into an agreement to develop and release multiple game remakes based on one intellectual property owned by Square Enix Japan, the company announced. The name of this property will be announced separately at the launch of a worldwide marketing campaign.

The remakes will feature new visuals, while maintaining the same gameplay and scenario from the original versions. Release dates will be announced separately.
Forever Entertainment will receive over 50 percent of sales for each copy of the game sold across all platforms.

This is just the latest in a series of remake projects by Forever Entertainment. The company released Panzer Dragon: Remake for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC (Steam, GOG), and Stadia in 2020, and will launch Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake in 2021. It also announced remakes of The House of the Dead and The House of the Dead 2.

Likely remake candidates are some of the more niche IPs in Square's library, like Driving Emotion Type-S, The Bouncer, Ehrgeiz, Bushido Blade and Itadaki Steet.

I think it could be Chrono Trigger/ Cross, the only thing that gives me pause is the "multiple game remakes" bit. Is it maybe just some of the early Dragon Quest titles?

The wording of the deal doesn't seem to favor IPs with single entries, like Vagrant and Xenogears though:

I would love for Tactics War of the Lions (and dare we hope Crisis Core) to get a release on the Switch and/or PC. WotL has been regulated to PSP/Android/iOS too long (I tried playing it on my phone but it just wasn't doing it for me).

Considering the mediocre reviews and performance issues of their Panzer Dragoon remake, I actually fear for whatever it is they end up developing...
