No, this isn't spam.

I don't know how many of you get the GameInformer magazine, but a couple months back, they sold three different covers of a single issue. Each cover portrayed a number of iconic game characters from the last decade standing next to one another in a single, large and fancy room. Well, I don't know when this little offer started, but GI is selling an apparently limited edition of a single poster depicting ALL of those iconic characters together in one wide shot. It's titled "30 Characters who Defined a Decade". Master Chief, Commander Shepard (male), Ezio Auditore and John Marston are just a few of the characters on there. I must say it looks pretty cool. So, if you're a nerd for gaming history at large, I recommend picking this up, especially since it's only $10.

It was the cover of the GameInformer magazine; it was a fan-art professionally made of the said characters that defined the decade. I know KOS-MOS is on the far left, silver body suit, 3/4 back view.

The issue I got in my mailbox is the one with the image on the left; Master Chief, Wander, Phoenix Wright, etc. The biggest letdown of the three covers, if you ask me.

Though, honestly -- and I imagine I'm in a small minority on this one -- I wasn't that impressed with any of the covers, nor the complete poster. I don't particularly care for Spratt's art style, nor the mode of presentation he chose here.

Oh my Jesus, watching the rest of the internet get butthurt over what characters did or did not get included in this list is actually hilarious. Why was I not made aware of this cover sooner? I mean granted, not all of these were characters who I personally thought redefined gaming this decade but some people are acting as though this list is the equivalent to a slap in the face with a steaming turd from the magazine. I might post up my own list sometime soon tbh.
