A load of recent Ubisoft games, now y'all mention it. Assassin's Creed, Far Cry 2 and the new Prince of Persia game all suffer from the same problem: Repetitive gameplay. AC felt like a collection of minigames which was only barely made up by the story. Far Cry 2 was odd, since there'd be angry negroes around every corner all the time that would shoot at you without any provocation whatsoever. And all missions involved 'go there and shoot that'. The 'sidequests' were worse, 'kill him' or 'blow that truck up', to summarize. Finally, PoP was a quick time event stretched out over five hours or so with no difficulty curve or required skill worth mentioning. Plus the ending sucked / made no sense.
FC 1 and Crysis were entertaining, the previous PoP triology was awesome (and its awesome made up for its shortcomings), and Assassin's Creed is for a part what PoP 3 was supposed to be (the two thrones or something, which promised free roaming in the city but failed to give that).
