I wanted to start discussion about this awesome company and the awesome games it makes.
Hanako Games, a company headed by Georgina "Hanako" Bensley, is a gaming company that makes animesque games mainly aimed at girls but with enough widespread appeal that men can enjoy them too. They always have female protagonists, always (afaik) have an animesque artstyle, are generally gameplay-heavy visual novels(usualyl Ren'Py , and usually have romance elements too, with gay options being common as well (Hanako is a yuri fan).
I myself have three of her games(Black Closet, Long Live the Queen, and Magical Diary), and I've greatly enjoyed them all. I seriously recommend you check out her games, they're cheap and very fun. Websites is here: http://www.hanakogames.com/
Plus many of them are on steam, which is where I got them.
Her most (in)famous game is probably Long Live the Queen, where you play as a princess who is fourty weeks from becoming queen and have to ensure she survives those fourty weeks by investing in the right stats, making the right choices, etc. There are many different routes to take, and a single playthrough will generally only take 1-3 hours depending on if you know what you're doing, so if you're like me you'll often go through several playthroughs in a single session.
My personal favorite game of hers is Black Closet, a yuri-heavy detective style visual novel with tons of replay value due to things such as randomized cases, random case solutions, a randomly chosen traitor at the start of each playthrough(though after beating the game you have the option of choosing the traitor at the start of new playthroughs, useful if you're trying to do a playthrough requiring a specific girl to be [or not be] traitor), etc. It also notably stars a black female protagonist, a rarity in games, who can (and for most players will) be gay as well. It takes place in an all girls school, so it's very yuri-heavy, and has literally no male characters.
But seriously guys, check out her games.
