Nice to meet'cha.
My first Final Fantasy game technically was 10. But i never actually got into that game, i was like 11 or 12 when i visited and played it on a PS2. Or i do remember how i thought that one looked kind of fun, but that X-2 just totally turned me off because of how girly it looked, which i guess was kind of sexist of me at the time, but i was a kid so
. Looking back at it it looks pretty awesome.
I think i first started to dwell in Final Fantasy world when a friend of mine showed me parts of Final Fantasy Advent Children movie, and i liked some of the action scenes in it which i thought looked really cool, so i looked at the bonus parts of DVD... which i pirated. "Dont worry i payed for the FF7 game now though" But in either case i like saw that the movie was based on a video game..So like most of me back then,,, if there was something based off something.. you bet i will try to see how it was. Its kinda like when i became a fan of MGS2. I knew there was a MGS2.. so then there had to be MGS1... but then i didnt even realise that there was a MG1 and MG2: Solid Snake O.o... So i tried those too. See this is what happens to me when i know something is based off something. I just have to try it gets all overly excited for some reason knowing that XD
In either case. The movie made me try the game, and after i beat it i was like. This was a really cool fun game. This was in 2005 though, before Xbox 360 i think. So it was pretty cool and fun. I mean i didnt care to go deeper into it before later on in my adult life though. But the really old ones are really hard for sure, but something i do like is that while they are incredibly hard as heck, they do have some strategy like in the Chaos Temple, if you dont have ice protect spell or nullice i think its called... boom.. those !enemies i dont remember" will spam you with ice. So its stuff like this that makes me appreciate some parts of strategy thinking in some parts of it.
Even though its not like my type of game to be honest, i am more fan of PS1 era FF games. But one can appreciate the older ones. Btw did you know the Iranian American programmer Nasir Gebelli who programmed the three first FF games and Secret of Mana game, apparently some has been inspired by his works like that guy who created Doom for PC DOS. So i gotta give some respect to that atleast.
