Ever since Remake came out I still have the impression that Zack is in some kind of alternate existence, world, timeline, universe, reality, lifestream branch(alive though) or whatever it may be or whatever any of us would imagine it could potentially be.
I've been open to other theories and could change my mind on this and have been looking into people's theories on the single altered timeline.
I know there are variations on this theory and for those who lean towards single timeline I'm curious which variation of it you think is most accurate (talking about Zack being alive theories.)
The main ones I've heard are:
I'm not sure but I'm guessing most people go with 2) The only timeline got altered.
The idea from what I understand is the party where unchanged and retained their memories by being in the singularity but now the world is different, things are altered.
Maybe this has been explained somewhere on the forum but what I don't understand with the theory is: Do all the characters who weren't in the singularity retain their memories of the events that happened during the course of Remake Part 1? Or do they have some kind of other memories? Are their memories altered?
For example: Do the Turks remember fighting Cloud and party at the top of the pillar or do they remember something else? Are their memories altered?
