I signed up last October to shamelessly promote my FFVII guide that I’ve been working on for nearly a year now, and I’ve been visiting infrequently ever since. I find myself visiting more often now, so I suppose it’s time for a formal introduction!
Hi! I’m DynamixDJ!! My real name’s Josh, and I used to DJ D’n’B, and “golden era” Hip-Hop, but that was a very long time ago (before I bought a PS3 ). I have also spent a lot of time with music production. The name Dynamix has lived on solely due to the fact that it is my PSN ID (DynamixDJ is not by exact ID, do not send a friend req; PM me if you want to add me). I’m not changing it either, as 50 something Platinum Trophies is not easy to come by!
Last March I had developed an overwhelming desire to write a walkthrough for FFVII. Don’t ask me why.... Many reasons I guess, but on March 28th 2015 I sat down to begin my guide. And the rest is history. In a million and one ways, I have found it to be similar to writing music, except for the fact that I feel as though I’m a lot better at FAQ writing than composing music. I’ve set myself the challenge of trying to achieve something that hasn’t been done before in terms of how comprehensive a FF7 guide can possibly be.... and one year in I’m roughly 60% complete! Another year maybe....
Last thing I’d like to say - this walkthrough adventure has lead to me taking it to a level I had never dreamed of - through my obsessive nature to be as precise and accurate as I can possibly be, I have taken to learning how to use various hax0r programs (Makou Reactor and such), and now, at the age of 28, I have a keen drive to get the hell out of the manual labour industry and learn more about C-Programming, I even have a few online courses bookmarked, but, working 45 hours as a Supervisor and spending every free second either on my guide, Makou reactor, or forums, I don’t really have the time to study. When I complete my guide however, that’ll be the time.
Never for one second as an 11-year-old kid playing FFVII, did I ever suspect that the game would eventually shape my career prospects. It’s incredible! In just 2 short months I’ve learnt an incredible amount; prior to Christmas just gone, I didn’t know anything about hex or binary, now I could probably write my own mod! In theory. I’d have to quit my job first All I want to do is sit at home all day on my PC Goddam I envy the unemployed
It’s lovely to meet all of you wonderful people!!
