Holiday 2011 Game Line-Up

I know February has only begun, but there are already a SHITLOAD (in comparison to previous years, imho) of high profile games slotted to be on game store shelves this coming holiday season. The list is as follows:

Gears of War 3 (Xbox 360 Exclusive)
Mass Effect 3 (PS3, Xbox)
Dark Souls [Demons' Souls Sequel] (PS3, Xbox)
The Last Guardian [Spiritual sequel to Shadow of the Colossus] (PS3 Exclusive)
Final Fantasy XIII-2 (PS3, Xbox)
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (PS3 Exclusive)
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PS3, Xbox)
Kinect Star Wars (Xbox 360 Exclusive)
NGP (Next-Gen PSP) + games
Battlefield 3 (Xbox 360, PS3)
Saint's Row: The Third (Xbox 360, PS3)

Get your money sorted early this year kids, this is one hell of a line-up! I'll gladly update the list as the year goes on to keep everyone posted.

At the very least I know that I'll be picking up three of the games listed. Those games being Gears 3, ME 3 and FFXIII-2. Going to keep a close eye on Skyrim and Dark Souls to see how much I would like to play them.

It wouldn't be so bad (in terms of money, I mean) if the rest of the year weren't also filled with great games. I already had to buy ME2 and LBP2. Dissidia 2, Portal 2, and the Ico/SotC port are also on the way. There were more that I can't think of at the moment.

But yeah, Uncharted 3, Skyrim, and ME3 are all definite purchases. And FFXIII-2 and Last Guardian are both very likely purchases. So any pretense of money or a social life at the end of 2011 is a wash. I hope no one is expecting either my presence or gifts for Christmas.

Edit: By the way, if some of you aren't aware, lots of these games will also be supplying Collector's Editions. Price goes up, naturally. Example: Gears of War 3 is offering the standard game for $60, a CE for $80 and also what they're calling the Epic Edition for $150 (USD).
